After the Smiler accident Merlin Entertainments closed down 4 other rides across 3 theme parks. The rides that were closed were Colossus, Stealth, The Dragon’s Fury and Rattlesnake. Merlin Entertainments also permanently closed the Saw ride over fear that a similar accident may happen like the Smiler accident. This was also important and advantageous to Merlin Entertainments as they were able to re-gain the trust of their customers. The main reason their customers had the possibility of re-gaining trust from this was that the customers were able to see that Merlin Entertainments were caring about the health and safety of their other rides and attractions.
