The United States and its Elected Officials
In our country today we face a pandemic that is so large that no person knows what to do. Our Government is in some serious need of a cleanup, what I am trying to say is, some of the elected officials in office such as the senate and supreme courts have been in office or have been in politics for way too long. Some officials have been serving in the senate for thirty plus years. It makes no sense why we have people with old ideas in office that are just there to get a paycheck. Not only have there been too many people serving such a long term but there is corruption within itself such as, political party members giving themselves raises whenever they feel the need to.
This tyranny needs to stop and here is a few simple solutions. Starting after the next election every official will have terms of 4 years and no more than 2 terms in a lifetime just like the president. There will be elections every 4 years and no candidate can have served in other portions of the federal government. The only exception to this is running for presidency, when running for president you can come from any political position with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a political office (mayor, governor, senator, etc.). The other exception is if a mayor wants to be governor or a governor wants to be a senator but you cannot go backwards. With this in place it will allow fresh faces such as newly graduated law students to have a chance at running this country. By 2024 we will have a government full of fresh faces.
The other problem is the paying of one’s self and this can be solved by limiting the salaries to a smaller amount and preventing the elected officials from giving themselves raises with citizen tax dollars. If they want a raise it will
