Qualities of a Good Supervisor When it comes to describe qualities of a good supervisor, there is only one name which comes to my mind and that is Mr. Rajesh Angre. I had worked with him for five years and learned a lot from him. On the general basis, individuals are suppose to work harder and efficiently, when they are supervised by a supervisor. In the absence of a supervisor, almost everything may get disarranged; they will make a combined disaster. As I see it, the most critical qualities a great supervisor ought to have are personality, knowledge and tolerance. It is said that personality is the first sense of a person. Sometimes the personality of a person makes other people feel compelled to take after him. Since, supervisor needs to visit a few individuals in the business in order to make deals. In this case, the supervisor who possesses a good personality may prove more fruitful. Like, Mr. Angre had to meet multiple types of peoples from different social classes to make the arrangements to get his work done from the high level management class to co workers to lower grade workers. Personality of a person often helps to deal with the situations. A good supervisor must have some proven abilities, knowledge or understanding on the subject without which he might not be able to help a subordinate who approaches with a difficulty. The point when the subordinate needs help in some territory past his achieve the supervisor ought to have the capacity to offer help. Mr. Angre helps the team with all the new updates on daily basis at the morning meeting and will ask for any queries which need to be addressed. He resolves the query in the meeting by asking for the feedback from the rest of the team members. A good supervisor is knowledgeable in his area of responsibility and displays professionalism, genuineness and duty in his occupation. Human beings are not perfect and therefore making mistakes is unavoidable. Because of this reason, a good supervisor needs to have patience in order to achieve the desired results by mentoring and training the team about the ways to complete the specific of the job. Mr. Angre always believes in the team and gives them generous amount of time to understand the situation and resolve it on their own. Sometimes it gets really hectic to maintain a high quality but it’s the patience and the hard work and good communication between the supervisor and his team that pays on at the end of the day. This quality is very essential for everyone who wants to be a good supervisor. But for one to be a great supervisor, his association with the subordinates ought not to be built just in light of love. There must be a "cooperating joyfully" mentality between them. The qualities expressed above might incite such a state of mind between the supervisor and the workers. Yet all in all, a great supervisor is the person who tries to the extent that he might for the benefit of the subordinates. It is essential for a supervisor to take care of not only the inner atmosphere of the firm or group but also to keep an eye on the outside world.
