She tells about her experience of raising her child in text 1 “ Why I love my strict Chinese mom” a newspaper report by Mandy Stadtmiller. It’s about the Tigermom, Amy Chua, who is a very strict mother. She has many strict rules for her daughters, Sophia and Louisa. Both of them had a very limited childhood. Some examples could be, they couldn’t go for a sleepover, have a play date or get grades under A. They should be the best in school, so they spent most of the day doing schoolwork. Dr. Bryan Caplan has the opposite opinion about this case, which can be seen in text 2, a newspaper article by Kate Loveys:” Let them eat pizza: Parenting guru’s recipe for bringing up children”. He believes each child´s own choices are a part of their progress and development. People with this kind of upbringing can also become very successful in life. Dr. Bryan Caplan also thinks children should live a controversial life where they are able to be free and do what they like such as watching television. In text number 3 “Summerhill – a radical approach to child rearing”, by A.S Neil, he has the same point as text 2 which is that it is wrong to do as the tigermom does.
