Society often tends to create meanings for words that should not have a solid meaning, an example of this would be the word "beauty". What is beauty? No one knows the answer to this; some define it as happiness, like the moments that you cherish in your life. Others describe it as good looks, high cheekbones and plump lips. Society manipulates us to make us think that our physical appearance and the satisfaction of other people's aesthetic senses is what defines beauty; and often, that is what triggers bullying. Bullying is a widespread problem that has plagued nearly every school in the world and has harmed an enormous mass of children; physically and mentally. People that fall victim to bullying often opt to suicide. However, some may have other solutions, such as creating poems and pouring your bottled emotions into them. This video “To This Day” was an excellent example made by Shane Koyczan - a prior victim of bullying.
