1. Acknowledge
Describe your experience Chapter 5 from Tools for Mindful Living elucidated how to integrate the MAC model into the body. I discovered this chapter to rest quite tedious, as it did not effectively communicate information, but rather relied on minimal words and illustrations. While this chapter did not grasp my attention, it did introduce a conception unfamiliar to me – the body map. This notion demonstrates how distinctive parts of the body attain specified purposes and work together to convey a smooth movement. When I amenably acknowledged how my body tenses and relaxes in dissimilar positions, it aided in educating me in what body systems work together, and how one system affects the others.

BREATH: When practicing MAC on my body, I observed that my breath endured long and smooth. As I stretched my body in different directions, my lungs occupied to their complete capacity, slowly exhaling as my muscles relaxed. Relaxation allowed my lungs to maintain maximum strength, elongating the muscles. When I am not practicing MAC, my breathing rests short …show more content…
In the first two weeks, the meditation mainly emerged through my mind; the experiences embraced clearing the mind, while entering into a mindful mindset. Through incorporating the major points of my body into the experience, I was able to note how distinct breathing techniques affected the different points on my body. I noticed my stomach and chest rising with deep inhalations and exhalations, my arms and legs gently resting at my sides, and shoulders bowled slightly forward. The meditation experiences appear to grow off of one another, encompassing further actions and details as they each week progresses. I am beginning to successfully reach a relaxed mindset, and reflect on the present
