Idea
When Watching Kick Ass 2 Me and Alice noticed there were so many questions unanswered (many open Endings)
What happened to Hit girl after Kick Ass 2
Uncle Ralphie was a loose end so he can be made into a valid badguy
The hero roaster is rather small so integrating a few new characters many comic book issues to be adapted into film
Put the issues into 40 minute long TV show miniseries if pilot takes off. one of the ideas was to get big name hollywood actor to create a small buzz about the show.

Summary of Research:

When coming up with the idea for the tv series we re-watched kick ass 2 and took notes. This helped us keep note on the characters roles within the film. We watched how their positions changed towards the end of the film so we would know which ones to proceed into our series. We had to take into consideration which characters stories were best to develop in our show, some characters were killed off and others were left without much explanation, these were the ones which we looked at in more detail. This is where we got the backing story of uncle ralphie from.. His character was left in jail without any family members apart from chris left. He knew that he was getting into a fight, but was trapped away so couldn't help him. After chris died in the ending of kick ass 2 we wondered how uncle ralphie would react. This is what made us focus on his character. We decided to make him the new villain in the series, this seemed like an obvious way to keep the characters united so the fights can carry on.

We also wanted to introduce some new characters into our series, to do this we looked at comic books to get inspiration for a stereotypical villain/ superhero. we focused on their talents so we could combine a range of skills and turn it into a profile for a new character. when we looked at the kick ass comics we noticed that Hit girl was the only young leading role. we thought it would be interesting if Hit girl had an opponent of her own strength, age and gender. This is why we made the villain luli. we wanted her to be experienced in the fighting business so we decided to make her have a different ethnicity. She is from china. This allowed us to adapt her skills by using her background ethnicity as a source. she has kungfu/karate talent because it is the surroundings she has grew up in. This makes her a born fighter just like Hit girl.

By looking at the comic books we were able to pick up on the visual style, this includes things such as costumes, weapons, fighting destinations, and the way the characters talk. This helped us develop an idea of what we wanted the series to look like. we had to think about what we wanted ralphie's gang clothes to look like, in most the comics the villains costumes were dark and sturdy. we imagined luli’s character wearing a black leather playsuit this would make her look evil and prepared. The comic book of kick ass was split up into chapters, this is how we want to narrate each episode, the five act structure will help set apart the chapters in each episode. When the chapter is changed the characters will become part of the comic book world displaying the scenery as if it were in a comic book. A change in events will take place and the a page of a book will turn on screen just like a real life comic book.

for out new character Luli we researched the names and chinese origins of her name utilising the meaning and incorporating it into her character. Luli means Dewy Jasmine. We Have moulded that into her personality as she has a thing for special stones hence the Jasmin.

Research from real world

when we look for an inspiration for Kick Ass 2 we have taken into account the real life people who have dressed up and served as vigilantes. Giving a sense of reality to this absurd dream like comic strip turn tv series. An example of real life vigilantes in which we are using for inspiration for one of our characters is New York City's Dark Guardian, in which he dresses up as a superhero and attempts to go out on the street of New York and prevent crime by looking out for victims and asking them if they want to press charges then continues by chasing the criminal down subduing them then calling 911 for back up.
New York City's Dark Guardian is the most relatable vigilante in comparison to ‘Kick Ass’ there relation is that they don't have supernatural powers, they have melee weapons, ton of weaknesses as they are both mortal and both are young. One difference is that New York City's Dark Guardian has his secret Identity revealed to the public as his real name is Phoenix Jones.

Five act structure of the pilot episode:

Part 1 (introducing characters): The episode will start with Hit girl based in new york, the character will have a different lifestyle to when we left her in kick ass 2. She is independent creating a life for herself. Her main aim is to keep out of the life of crime. We will see her getting frustrated because she is not used to a simplistic way of living. The entry of the pilot will begin with Hit girl but there will be a montage of events which recap all of the main characters lives. This will include kick ass settling into university with his friend marty. There is a narration from each charter in the background explaining what they have been upto since the final battle with the motherfuckers gang. At the start of the episode these 3 characters have a basic routine but then there is a change of location which will show uncle ralphie in an abandoned warehouse plotting a plan to kill kick ass after he caused his nephew's death. (chris-aka the motherfucker) This will cause a conflict, the audience will be aware that the characters lives are about to get disrupted.

Part 2( uprising of conflict between characters):
For part of Uncle ralphie’s scheme to capture Kick ass he will advertise a organisation for an evil gang who are good at fighting or are interested in killing kick ass. This is where some of the new characters are introduced...including luli. There will be auditions for a fighting crew held, this will also be done in a quick montage, going through the good and bad attempts making a comical element to the episode. Once the gang is organised and the nicknames for each member are produced the kidnapping of kick ass starts to be planned.

Part 3 (start of action action): The gang find a way to trick kick ass to get him to the location needed to capture him and send him to the warehouse. Chris left some possessions for uncle ralphie after the fight. One of the things left was Todd's phone. He was also kick ass’s best friend in high school but went against him in the final battle. Chris managed to steal the phone knowing that it might come in handy to find out details about kick ass or to help find him. They messaged kick ass pretending to be todd saying “hey dude, we haven't met in a while and it’d be good to see you again after everything that's happened.. meet me in our old hiding spot in the high school car park on tuesday night.” As dave isn't trained he doesn't see any suspicions with the text so he goes to meet him. This triggers action between kick ass and the gang. When dave arrives he is dressed as himself the gang are parked up watching his every move. they will be waiting for the right time to go out and grab him to put him in the van ready to kill in the warehouse without witnesses. Dave is surprised by the attack, he tries to fight them off but fails when they tie him up, taping his mouth as they beat him. when he is in the van the gang take a picture of him and send it to Hit girl. They want her to be part of the fight too, so she can see kick ass suffer and see what she has caused by getting him involved with the life of crime.

part 4(climax /falling of action): Hit girl gets back on her motorcycle determined to get to kick ass in time. Little does she know that Luli has been sent to attack her on the way. When Hit girl is on her motorbike luli jumps down on top of her to distract her from the road. They end up having a one to one fight. Hit girl now has an opponent of her own age and gender, it is her hardest acquaintance yet.while this is happening Kick ass is being tortured in the warehouse. The gang chain him to a pole whilst they start beating him with weapons. The fight goes on for a good 10 minutes ending with hit girl defeating luli and turning up at the warehouse.

Part 5 (tone and moral): When hit girl arrives the gang are expecting her to be captured by luli. Instead she stands tall on her own waiting to fight. The pilot episode will end on a cliffhanger so the audience will want to keep watching. Kick ass will still be chained up, Hit girl will be left alone to fight the rest of ralphie's gang and luli will recover from the fight and start heading back to the warehouse to seek victory over Hit girl.

Branding

When it comes to branding the franchise of kick ass it should be easier than kick starting a new unknown series as there are already die hard fans of the franchise eagerly waiting for a sequel to the second installment in the Kick Ass franchise, you can target the loyal and devoted fans by making them feel appreciated as they like when the director listens to them. An example is in the TV show ‘The flash’ the writer and director hints to the die hard fans that a beloved character from the comics (Wally West) will be appearing in the following seasons; this made them really happy. When you look at previous Kick ass Advertising it’s colour scheme has always kept along the yellow text on all posters making it the official text colour of Kick Ass when looking at the physiological effect different colours have on the audience/viewers mind, The colour yellow has the effect ‘Yellow is an illuminating and uplifting color which stimulates our analytical processes and assists with mental clarity.’ as sourced by http://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/color-meanings-in-business.html every colour has it own meaning for any product/business some examples could be
Red - a physical color which calls for action to be taken. Its high energy and strength draws attention to itself and demands to be noticed.
Orange - a color of adventure which inspires and creates enthusiasm. It is optimistic and sociable and suggests affordability.
Green - is associated with nature, health and healing. It balances the emotions and inspires compassion.
Blue - is the safest color to use in most applications, implying honesty, trust and dependability.

When surveying individuals that enjoyed the film 3 out of 4 females found the lead male protagonist to be attractive proving to be good branding of the franchise. Like in The Titanic how Leonardo DiCaprio Was seen as a Sex Icon for the movie, it can been seen in a similar way because you can expect the turn out to be significantly less if a superhero film was staring unattractive people. They stuck with Kick Ass’s primary and secondary colors.

An example on branding that must take place here we have a logo we made on Adobe Photoshop it's important to have recognition for your brand this can be done by making a unique and memorable logo. possible merchandising opportunity by creating another string of action figures for fans who idolise the idea of collectible items of the franchise.

New System Proposal

...New System Proposal Riordan Manufacturing is a multi-billion plastics manufacturer that produces and sells plastics around the world. Being a multi-billion dollar company does not make them immune to the challenges of the business world. It seems that Riordan Manufacturing is facing some challenges with seamlessly pulling and putting together the necessary data to run the necessary reports to present to leadership, which shows all of the bottom lines of the finance and administration portion of the business. This paper will provide a system to help Riordan Manufacturing become a leader in the electronic reporting. Challenge Riordan Manufacturing is currently operating with a pair of AS400’s, which are seriously outdated and not recommended for a multi-billion dollar industry. This system is a home grown data entry system that was not designed to create and run reports to drill down to the bottom dollar spent. It can run reports, but the reports are far from accurate. With Riordan planning to move their organization across the Qiantang River, they will need a system that will provide accurate data so the management team will know whether or not to eliminate or expand jobs. System Proposal Riordan needs a system that will keep track of the entire product on hand, the product being shipped out, the amount of product being requested, the amount of product manufactured, and any profit or loss between the manufactured and sell of the product. Otis Elevator

...Otis Elevator: Accelerating Business Transformation with IT At Harvard the only thing considered duller, safer, and less adventurous than working for a bank was working for some old-line can't-miss industrial firm like Otis Elevator, which only needed caretakers. —Tom Wolfe, A Man in Full (New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1998), p. 31 At the northeast corner of 20th Street is the turreted red-brick Victorian Apartment house . . . the first cooperative apartment house in New York City. Peek into the luxurious lobby! The foyer is adorned with stained glass and Minton tiles, and the building is equipped with Otis hydraulic elevators installed in 1883, and among the oldest of their kind still in service. —Gerard R. Wolfe, New York: 15 Walking Tours (New York: McGraw-Hill, 2003), p. 261 In early 2004, Otis Elevator President An Bousbib (pronounced boozbe) finalized his presentation to United Technologies (UTC)—the parent company. The past 12 months had been a success for Otis, as highlighted in the 2003 Annual Report: Otis completed the second-largest acquisition in its history with the addition of Amtech Elevator Services. Amtech brings . . . a customer base spanning universities, hotels, hospitals, airports and convention centers throughout the United States. Indian It Services

...Indian IT Services: Shaping Up for the Next Big Push Published: February 24, 2011 in India Knowledge@Wharton  Earlier this month, newspaper headlines in India about US$5 billion worth of IT outsourcing orders expected from large U.S. banks brought cheer to the Indian IT services industry. In recent months, industry players have been expecting the return of good times, and this news reinforced their optimism. But experts say the US$60 billion industry needs to retool and reposition itself or it risks losing out on growth. According to Sudin Apte, principal analyst and CEO at research firm Offshore Insights: "Businesses in the U.S. and Europe have undergone dramatic changes. The paradigm at their end has changed and so have the needs and requirements from their technology vendors. If Indian IT firms want to stay in the game, they need to change, too." Meanwhile, the country's top IT firms are close to shuffling positions. While Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys Technologies continue to hold sway, Cognizant Technologies, currently the fourth-largest player, is threateningly close to unseating Wipro Technologies for the third slot. In the last quarter, Cognizant's revenues grew 45% to reach US$1.31 billion; Wipro was marginally ahead with US$1.34 billion in revenues from IT services. Also getting ready to join the club is iGate, which last month entered the billion-dollar revenue club after buying Patni Computers in a US$1.2 billion deal -- one of the largest acquisitions...

Acton-Burnett Case

...Questions 1. What were the main mistakes made by Keene & Ryan in the way they dealt with the different situations described in the case: from the discovery of significant losses in the first quarter of 1975 to their handling of the meeting during which the members of the task-force made their presentations? 30% It was clear that Baker had little to no control over the task force. Baker had not created the team and had no real authority (aside from being designated as the head) over the task force. The task force was a formality in the Keene & Baker’s eyes, thus they concluded the area that needed to be studied was marketing division (market managers made final forecasts based on info from prod mgrs, VP of sales, VP of manufacturing, & econ forecasts from VP of econ). At this point Keene & Baker never gave much thought or importance to the task force therefore they were just content to “formally” state that the situation was being analyzed. In reality neither of the VP’s actually gave much importance to the two losing quarters situation. This in turn showed when the task force report meeting had gotten out of control and they were headed to a break, Keene told Baker “…you better figure out what you’re going to do at 3:00 (when they returned from the break)”. This statement from Keene showed that he had little authority or control over the situation, he was placing the blame on Baker instead of backing him up. The following is a broken down analysis of the mistakes that...

Corwin Corporation

...Case Analysis Corwin Corporation Project Management Failure by Jane Mauret EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This report has been prepared to examine the reasons why the Peters/Corwin project, instigated in late December 2011, was terminated during the testing phase by the client.  This led to financial loss for Corwin and cessation of relations with Peters, an important customer. Corwin has long-standing internal protocols with regard to project selection around product-based initiatives from outside clients.  However, in this instance, these measures were entirely overlooked. Thus, the project failed to meet the brief due to lack of proper management at the initiation and execution stages. This analysis points up three major areas of concern, namely: project selection (includes staff competencies); managerial support (includes organisational culture); and communication issues (for internal and external stakeholders). Out of the discussion, conclusions were drawn which then helped formulate practical recommendations to address issues raised now, and to ward off future repetition. 1.    INTRODUCTION This report seeks to isolate the reasons why a recent collaboration with Peters Company (PC), a company with which Corwin Corporation (CC) had an established and healthy working relationship, floundered.  Not only did CC lose out financially but its future potential revenues from Peters have been jeopardised. CC’s strong reputation has received negative publicity at a time of global recession...

The sales price achieved is also well down on standard with the sales price variance showing an $85,000 loss of revenue and (therefore) profit. We are told that the market for sales of brown rice is stable and so it is reasonable to presume that the fall in sales price achieved is as a result of internal quality issues rather than general price falls. The purchasing manager of the only ingredient may well be responsible for this fall in quality. This may have also led to a fall in the volume of sales, another $21,000 of adverse variance. Sony Challenge

...in the area of gaming consoles ever since its debut in 1995. Sony has created the ultimate entertainment magic box for young people, and the number of people who own a PlayStation 4 is close to 20 million as of January 2015, just over a year since its release. Our project focuses on one certain aspect: the health of people aged 13-21 who owns a PS4. Our proposal is that we include a Sony SWR10 fitness smart band in the PS4 box, launch a marketing campaign before Christmas and on Boxing Day in Australia the console plus smart band will go on sale together with a game from EA games. Then we introduce the 100-summer days challenge. This is the core of our project, we will offer rewards to people who use their smart band in healthy activities, and based on walking distances or calories burnt that will be recorded in the smart band, and after implementing the software to synchronize this data to the PS4, users will be able to claim their rewards on the rewards website that Sony has. We are giving gamers the incentive and encouragement to get out there and live a healthy lifestyle. In a CSR perspective this is a brilliant proposal for the Sony Organization, which already has many different CSR activities concerning the youth. It will be good for business because it shows the world that the leading console maker also cares for its consumers who buy the PS4, and makes people see that Sony is taking responsibility and action for the adverse effects gaming may have on...
