In Orientation by Daniel Orozco, a person is showing around a new working during his orientation around the business he was just hired at. He is informing the new working of all the information he will need to be successful in working at the business. He was also informing the new co-worker of personal information that shouldn’t be told on his first day of work or shared to begin with at all. The story “Orientation” through satire shows alienation of traditional office work in the real world. A Satire is the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize peoples stupidity or vices. People can exaggerate situations or think situations are humorous just to expose and criticize people. Alienation is the loss or lack of sympathy for people. Satire is shown through Orientation and shows alienation of traditional office work by showing the disconnect between personal and professional lives.

Learning about drama is something you will eventually figure out, and in the real world no one will tell you that information. After explaining about how Russell likes Amanda the co-workers goes on and says how, “Amanda Pierce, who tolerates Russell Nash, is in love with Albert Bosch, whose office is over there”.
