Weight issues are a delicate matter for everyone and especially in United Kingdom. It’s particularly important to understand the emotional issues behind the weight gain as well as the bad habits that have been picked up over the years. However hypnosis has these days become increasingly popular with weight loss and uses suggestions to change a person's behaviour and eating habits in order to facilitate weight loss. Abstract
Ms. E is a 29 year old single woman who is looking to lose two and half stone. She came out of a failed relationship six months ago and feels she is now ready to find another partner. Her previous partner of six years was very controlling and she believes her ex partner wanted her to remain overweight. This has left her feeling frightened about entering into a new relationship.
She has struggled with her weight since age of twelve/thirteen. Her parents pestered her about being overweight and eating too much. She has a history of dieting and weight gain post diet. However, she is still an outgoing woman and is planning to go on vacation with her girlfriends in three months time and hopes to have lost weight by then.
Introduction
In this essay I will explore, identify and explain the underlying issues which have caused the weight problem presented by Ms. E and create a hypnotherapy treatment plan for her that will support her goal of weight loss.
