It seems that there are countless roadblocks to slimming. Genetics, metabolism, exercise, proper diet, health concerns and more can make it seem like a nearly impossible task. Most people struggling to get slim are failing, but it's not because they aren't trying. It's simply because they aren't addressing the biggest issue when it comes to dieting and that's the power of your mind.

The mind is an incredible tool, but it can also be a detriment to your slimming goals. Your mind is stuck in the mindset that weight loss is hard, and that the pounds are just destined to stay on forever. This is what's keeping you heavy. So, just change how you think and you'll lose weight, right? It's not quite that simple, but with the power of hypnosis and …show more content…
The greater the effort that you put in to programs with questionable, inconsistent results, the more you have trained your mind to believe that slimming is impossible. The more frustrated you get, the harder it is, and the harder it is to suppress your desire to overeat.

Hypnosis weight loss approaches the issue in a completely different way, by working with your subconscious mind to get you a mindset that is conducive to losing weight. Hypnosis diet programs great for frustrated dieters and exercisers, since it requires virtually no effort, and it works where other programs have failed. All you have to do to experience the benefits of hypnosis weight loss is listen to a recording several times a week. That's it!

You might be scratching your head, thinking how could the power of my mind possibly help to get me slim? It works because it addresses the underlying behaviour and cognitive issues that lead to weight gain that other diet plans, workouts, books, and experts simply ignore. Yes, there is a science to getting slim and it's possible to see results without using hypnosis, but many people relapse into their old ways because they never addressed the reason why they were overweight to begin

Evolution of News Media

...Before the invention of new media, traditional media was largely a capital intensive business, reserved for those with power and access to multi-billion dollar presses and expensive physical distribution systems, costly audio-visual recording and government liscensing (Chia, 2011). Not only has new media disrupted the old conventional model by reducing the barrier of entry to extraordinarily low levels, it has also challenged the commercial model that funds traditional news media gathering and adversely gained tremendous recognition as an essential platform for information dissemination and acquisition (Koh, Lim, Ng, Detenber and Cenite, 10/08/2005). As one of the most wired nations in the world, the Singapore media industry sees audiences and advertisers alike, moving away from traditional media towards digital media (Choo, 12/08/2013); where news from myriad sources is available free of charge and where advertisers have a wide range of options for reaching consumers, including cost-effective online advertising and online retailing. In Singapore, traditional news media are primarily represented by two companies, one owned by Temasek (MediaCorp), one of the state’s sovereign-wealth funds, and the other (Singapore Press Holdings) that is government-centric through close monitoring and regulation. Now forced to compete with a vast spectrum of new publishers such as WikiLeaks, giant news aggregators like Yahoo, MsN and Google News as well as millions of bloggers of whom are...

Media and Women Image

...their appearance and body image. Media images of the unattainable thin body can be found almost anywhere. There has been continual interest in women’s body image throughout the years. Is there truth in the fact that women’s self-esteem and eating patterns are affected by what a woman sees in the media? Have this been researched enough to show the link between poor body image and the media’s portrayal of women and could this research allow for successful interventions to be evaluated and implemented. Could and intervention lead to fewer cases of anorexia and bulimia and could this lead to increased self-esteem and a more positive body image amongst women? The question many people want to know is if this is the case, where did these stereotypes come from exactly? Is it from the movie, television industry, fashion and beauty magazinesor is it from social and cultural influences , or maybe its just something we learn naturally. Does it really affect women and adolescent females selfworth, or does it go beyond that, leading to serious medical conditions? This paper explores the different factors that influences women body image and if the media is soley responsible for how adolescents and women view their body. Some arguments exist that body image is learned and influenced by self-esteem. Bailey, S.D., & Ricciardelli, L.A (2011) stated that body image is psychological in nature, and is more about a person’s self-esteem and less about their actual physical attractiveness as judged...

The Budget Costs and Effects of Prisons in the Us

...Methodology………………………………………………………………7 6. Analytical Results………………………………………………………....8 7. Discussion………………………………………………………………...10 8. Bibliography………………………………………………………………16 9. Appendix………………………………………………………………....17 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In summary, the cost of housing an incarcerated inmate does affect the budget of the United States. Whether, the inmate is sentenced to life imprisonment or the death penalty. The facts in this research paper leans heavily in favor of life imprisonment as a cheaper form of punishment verses an inmate being sentenced to death row. The judicial system and politicians have formed several alternatives to assist our country with the ability to lower the cost of housing an inmate in our prison system. For example, the United States detaining systems are concentrating more on issuing a fair sentence to nonviolent offenders, such as, substance abusers and prostitutes. They realize that the majority of the inmates are in need of drug rehabilitation and have a mental illness. Also, the research shows that women offenders are the most affected with drug addiction and substance abuse. They also have the greater risk of recidivism and mental illness, due to, the drug addiction and substance abuse. The judicial system formed an alternative called “sex courts” to address the situation with female prostitutes. The alternative addressed the need of therapeutic rehabilitation (drug treatment and mental health counseling), instead of, incarcerating...

Background of the Study Plants had been used for medicinal purposes long before recorded history. For example, ancient Chinese and Egyptian papyrus writings describe medicinal plant uses. Indigenous cultures such as African and Native American used herbs in their healing rituals, while others developed traditional medical systems in which herbal therapies were used systematically. Scientists found that people in different parts of the globe tended to use the same or similar plants for the same purposes. In the early 19th century, when methods of chemical analysis first became available, scientists began extracting and modifying the active ingredients from plants. Later, chemists began making their own version of plant compounds, beginning the transition from raw herbs to synthetic pharmaceuticals. Over time, the use of herbal medicines declined in favor of pharmaceuticals. Long before the introduction of modern medicines and Western curative methods, herbal medicines had been widely used in the Philippines. The use of medicinal plants or herbs has...

Cocoa Bio Company Case Study

...Topic Option A. Company Case Study Introduction In the recent years, people pay more attention to healthy food. The brand I chose which name is Cocoa Bio can easily solve this problem. Cocoa Bio's idea is to create natural products of nourishment, which help people improving health using one of the best products that the nature has offered, the cocoa and consequently the chocolate. Cocoa Bio (2010). Cocoa Bio was established in the United Kingdom. In March of 1997, Cocoa Bio started working to offer us this kind of products to a marketing expansion. In this essay, I will focus on expanding this brand to South Korean in which has not been covered yet. I will use PESTEL analysis macro environment, then discuss market entry modes and market mix strategy, and last, I will propose which one to choose, standardization or adaptation. PESTEL analysis Political factors South Korea is government-led market economy. The economic aspect of the direction and development depends on government’s unilateral command, because of its highly centralized system of government. The most cannot be ignored problem is substantial degree of selective state intervention in the private sector. It is an obstacle for Cocoa Bio market entry and penetration. Besides, South Korean market has relatively limited volume, and it mainly relies on foreign trade to accelerate economy, therefore the government is quite sensitive to imported goods. Furthermore, Protection of homegrown company is quite common...

Media Control

...Chapter 5: Gender Stratification by sex is a feature found in most societies, with men generally being in a more dominant position in society than women. Men have traditionally been seen in a wide range of active and creative roles – as warriors, hunters, and workers, as political leaders or successful business executives, as scientists, engineers, inventors, and great artists. Women have traditionally been seen as housewives and mothers confined to the home and caring for their husbands and children. Even when working outside the home, women's jobs often seem to be an extension of their caring role in the home, looking after others as receptionists, secretaries, nurses, teachers, and social workers. Are these differences simply an extension of the biological make-up of males and females, or are they a product of the ways that males and females are brought up in society? (Nature vs. Nurture) SEX AND GENDER • Sex: (whether someone is male or female) refers to the natural or biological differences between men and women, such as difference in genitals, internal reproductive organs, and body hair. • Gender: (whether someone is masculine or feminine) refers to the cultural, socially constructed differences between the two sexes. It refers to the way a society encourages and teaches the two sexes to behave in different ways through socialization. • Gender role: is the pattern of behavior and activity which society expects from individuals of either...
