Combat is initiated when you encounter a creature. At the start of combat you choose which character or familiar you want to send out into battle. You will have free movement around the battlefield and you can choose which of the actions you want to take, be it Attack, Defend, or Spells. All HP is linked from the character to the familiar, so any damage incurred on Oliver will also be apparent with the familiar, and MP is shared in the same way. The main difference between a character and a familiar is that familiars have a stamina gauge so they can't be out on the battlefield forever. While not in battle though, the familiars will recover their stamina and can thus be resummoned to fight. In addition choosing your actions, you can also cancel them. Often times it is beneficial to Defend! to avoid damage but you don't need to stay in that position. Simply cancel and you are back to attacking, likewise if you are attacking and need to defend you can cancel the attack sequence and switch to defending. After progressing a little bit through the game you'll acquire a party and you can change their battle tactics. You will also be able to control the party loosely with the All-Out Attack or All-Out Defense. You can cancel your enemies attacks if you hit them enough while they are charging a Trick or if you time your attack to land just before their's does. This results in a
Chance! during boss fights and is useful in producing glims. Green glims heal and blue glims restore mana, but the gold glims result in a Fully Charged! effect and allow you to perform a Miracle Move.

Screen Macbeth

...As I walked through the door and caught a glimpse of the theatre, I wondered how the production staff managed to make a number of people fit into such a small space. This was the first reaction I had with the theatre. Indeed, the staff had a hard time looking for available spaces so that the other viewers can be seated. While they were doing this, I was able to take a good look at the theatre and evaluate it before the lights were turned off. The stage was one of a kind. I watched quite a lot of plays and so far, “Screen Macbeth” had the most unique structure. In the other plays I watched, the stage was just the traditional stage. It was at the front, it is positioned a little lower than the seats of the audience, and the audience were facing the same side. However, “Screen Macbeth” had a platform at the center of the audience. The audience from opposite sides of the theatre were facing each other. It is not the typical four-cornered platform though. It was like a catwalk with four directions. And I think that structure of the stage helped me understand the play even more because I can see the actors’ and actresses’ expressions up-close and it somehow made me feel what emotions the characters were experiencing. The lights were a bit dark. However, with a tragic plot such as Macbeth, dim lighting system is the most appropriate. Fear is one of the feelings emphasized in the play and with the dusky atmosphere in the theatre, I guess the feeling was conveyed perfectly to the audience...

Macbeth

...The seed of darkness that the witches planted in him started to grow slowly. No! He wasn’t going to let anything intervene with fate. Hence he had to make sure the witches’ predictions will come true, though only what he want it to come true. Macbeth had his ear sweetened by the witches. The prophecy of him becoming the thane of Cawdor and king sounded very good for him and his wife’s aspirations. He had to believe them since he did become the thane of Cawdor. Unfortunately, his fall starts when he contemplates killing Duncan, the King. Macbeth starts an inner fight between wrong and good. In my opinion Lady Macbeth I the intellectual author of Duncan’s crime while Macbeth is only the material author. Lady Macbeth planed the crime, which make this crime a premeditated one. Lady Macbeth is a controversial character and in my opinion a key piece in this play. Many would argue that Macbeth was a good man that was push by his dreadful wife. However I believe that Lady Macbeth did what she believed she had to do to fulfill her avarice. As per Tillyard in The Elizabethan World Picture he explains the following “The conception of world order was for the Elizabethans a principal matter; the other set of ideas that ranked with it was the theological scheme of sin and salvation.” (Tilliard). Sin and salvation were important issues in the Elizabethan era, I find interesting the dark forces in the play like the three witches or when Lady Macbeth calls dark...

Macbeth 3.4

...Anas Javaid Macbeth Act 3 Scene 4 Director’s Notes The movie production will be based on the time period that Shakespeare had originally intended, during 11th century Scotland. It will be inside of a type of castle you’d expect during for a time period and setting like this, with rows of tables as long as the hall. The back wall has long red-and-gold tapestry hanging down from the ceiling, complimenting the kingly throne made out of pure gold with a red seat. The expensive-looking tables are laden with decoration and have full course meals laid out on them. Macbeth is donning a heavy purple gown accompanied by a white cloak, with a golden crown sitting atop his head. The Lady Macbeth is sat beside him in a beautiful red dress. All of the lords and ladies are wearing their best outfits for this occasion. The room is lit entirely by candles, and the hall has a warm, but slightly eerie, feeling to it. While the murderers are speaking with Macbeth, everything in the background seems perfectly normal, as people continue to have a good time and feast on the food at their tables. When the murderers inform Macbeth that Fleance escaped, a look of horror and sudden realization comes upon Macbeth’s face as he realized the prophecy of Banquo’s sons becoming king will hold true, and there is nothing he can do. After the murderers take their leave, business continues as usual, besides Macbeth, who is now disturbed at the thought of Fleance overthrowing Macbeth. However, the nature of the scene...

Short Story: Delta Tau Chi

...He should have filmed it; set up a hidden camera on his bookcase, between the handcuffs, and the paddle with which he'd just spanked Sofia's gorgeous ass. The sound of it smacking against the fabric of her trousers and hitting the flesh underneath caused the teenager to bite his lips, and groan aloud. His eyes had remained open, and he could see what must be lust in his new submissive's gaze, and that she was unable to hide a pleased smile. Imagine if he'd been able to catch it on film, to allow everyone to see his power, and how he'd transformed the young woman, in a matter of less than an hour, from an A grade student, and a girl all the members of Delta Tau Chi spoke about fucking, but secretly considered out of their league, into a grovelling, submissive pet, begging to be punished. The young man could upload it to the net, and rake in millions; possibly even offer lessons to those who wished they possessed his unique talents with women. However, it was too late, but there was always next time, for the way in which she reacted to each strike, and deferentially acceded to his orders, left him in no doubt that there would be a second. Then another thought struck. Instead of a home-video, he could pen a self-published electronic book, and offer it for sale on the net, which mothers and daughters alike could download in private, and masturbate to in secrecy. 'Shadows of Sofia', he'd call it, and every female in the Western world would soon be wet for this fictional character;...

...them but they countered everything. Their interpretation was that as one persuades others to do his dirty work, the effects of these acts play less on one’s conscience. Their argument was well said. Cassie and Jeremy explained well using several pieces of evidence. They said that after Macbeth hired the murderers to kill banquo, he didn't feel as remorseful. After he killed Duncan, he showed sign of regret but this regret decreased after each murder. What I got from this book is that there were themes of betrayal, prophecies, revenge and many more. After reading this book I feel that Macbeth is indeed tragic because of his one fatal flaw.
