Code Geass is a series that delves into many philosophical questions through the thoughts and actions of many different characters. The main protagonist Lelouch Vi Britannia is the exiled 11th prince of the Holy Britannian Empire, an imperialistic nation that attempts to dominate the world. The deep hatred of his birth nation stems form the mysterious death of his mother and the emperor banishing both him and his sister who eventually become political hostages in Japan. Throughout the series he has two major goal, to create a better world for his crippled sister and the utter destruction of Britannia.
