William Shakespeare is the famous director and play writer of the successful play Romeo and Juliet. This play revolves around a pair of lovers who cannot be together because their family has had a feud that has lasted for centuries. However, during the play the audience is able to see how the two interact and sneak around their parents, in order to be with each other. The end of the play ends in a tragedy when both of them have committed suicide due to a misunderstanding on both parties. Who Is To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death

...William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love play that tells the tale of two star crossed lovers. It has been the cause of much controversy over who can be held to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, however the fault cannot be placed on one individual, rather, multiple protagonists. Ultimately, Friar Lawrence, the Nurse and Romeo and Juliet themselves can be blamed for their demise. Friar Lawrence's lack of responsibility and foresight contributed significantly to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Being the individual to marry them, and devise ill fated plans, he was imprudent because he did not predict that such a situation would have tragic results. His inability to communicate between all involved severely impacted the...

Who Was To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death

..."The blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet ultimately rests with Friar Lawrence." Do you agree? The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare ends with the death of both title characters, Romeo and Juliet. With many contributing factors to the cause of these deaths it could be said that Friar Lawrence is ultimately to blame. Although one could conclude that this statement is true as Friar Lawrence had a large amount of responsibility, it could also be concluded that this statement is false as there are many other factors in the play that resulted in the death of Romeo and Juliet. It is easy to blame the Friar as he is supposed to be a neutral character in this matter, but factors such as the feud and complexes in Romeo and Juliet’s personalities also carry a lot of...

Examples Of Who Is To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death

...Who Is To Blame For Death? Do you think Romeo & Juliet could be held responsible for all of the deaths throughout the play? Romeo and Juliet are to blame for all deaths that occurred during the play. During the play there are 6 characters that die, 2 of them being Romeo and Juliet. Even though I believe Romeo and Juliet are responsible, it could be argued that it is Lord and Lady Capulet and Montague who are to blame. If Romeo had acted with more maturity during the course of actions death could have been prevented. During the beginning of the play Romeo is heartbroken over a girl, to cheer up he decided to attend the Capulet party. That was not a mature choice to crash a party he was not invited to. At the party he did meet the “love of his life” but little does he know she is also the thing that will kill him. When Tybalt murdered Mercutio during a street fight Romeo felt the need to exact his revenge by killing Tybalt. This was immature because if Romeo had just let justice come to Tybalt Romeo would not have been banished and possibly preventing his death. At the end of the play Romeo is lying next to Juliet in the Capulet tomb, Romeo has been told she is dead. Romeo is so devastated over a girl...

...Shakespeare Essay Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love story that includes many heartbreaking events. Capulets and Montagues hate each other and the family feud is turning people against each other, causing many unexpected deaths. When Romeo: a Montague, and Juliet: a Capulet, decide to get married. That will create much tragedy in the near future knowing they will have to hide their marriage. Especially because the Capulets are pressuring Juliet to marry Paris. The family feud is responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Had there not been a family feud, Romeo and Juliet would not need to conceal their love while still wanting to keep their good reputations in the family. Also, Friar Laurence would not have to devise a plan to help the lovers escape. In the end, two young, innocent lovers will die, through not fault of their own. In the beginning of Act I Romeo was in love with Rosaline. Immediately when he saw Juliet he lost...

Who Is To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death

...Fate: the Cause of Death Jim Morrison once said, “Love cannot save you from your own fate.” Romeo and Juliet believed that fate planned out their entire lives before them, and they could not change it. Fate is at fault for Romeo and Juliet’s death because Romeo just so happens to read the guest list for the party, Juliet walks out on her balcony looking for Romeo when Romeo is already waiting for her, and Juliet wakes up just a few minutes late. In the beginning, Romeo couldn’t decide weather fate wanted to ruin his life or wanted him to be happy. There are three reasons why I am blaming Juliet's parents my first reason is that they tried to make Juliet marry Paris even if she didn't want to marry him. The second reason is that they made the wedding even sooner than it was supposed to be. The third reason is they wouldn't let her see Romeo. Juliet was very sad and also mad at her parents because they were trying to make her marry paris, but she loved Romeo.”Good father, I beseech you on my knees hear me with patience but to speak a word”. Who Was To Blame For Romeo And Juliet's Death Essay

...play, Romeo and Juliet (by Shakespeare), there are many different people to blame for their deaths, but one of the main people is Romeo Montague himself. You may be confused at this point asking, how is he responsible for his own death? Although Romeo was a smart boy, he made some not so smart decisions. One example of this is when he killed Tybalt to avenge his good friend, Mercutio, that Tybalt had killed earlier that day. He was impatient, naïve, stubborn, and he constantly let his emotions get the best of him in the worst times. In the beginning of the play, Romeo was head over heels in love with Rosaline, later in the plot line, when he sees Juliet at the ball he forgets all about Rosaline, and claims he loves Juliet. This is an example of how he did not know his own emotions, they were constantly changing, even Friar Lawrence took notice of this in...
