It’s a nice story, but gets in few questions in my mind. The author as very well depicted the mental and emotional state of the person. The story begins by narrating about him - what he earlier was and is now and what he would be is the result. I did wonder why did the guy decide to steal the toucan while he had money to buy it. He seemed to be portrayed as a sad n depressed person – having no goal in life. But may be he still had a ray of hope that probably his girlfriend would be back to him and so he decided to gift her the toucan as a Christmas gift.
Well, why couldn’t he remember his parents just the way he remembered his sister – “I can close my eyes and form my sisters face behind my eye-lids, but not my parents face”. Author also
