However the simple definition is definitely not as simple as it would appear, there are so many other factors that combine to make up an individuals worldview. The education they were given, what type of things that they were taught as they were growing up, which comes down to what others around that person hold to be true and have possibly become an influence their own perceptions. Every person on this earth, regardless of their religious affiliations or not, should have a “worldview”. Barna Research Group conducted a nationwide survey in which they were able to conclude that only a rough 4 percent of Americans had a “biblical” worldview. This is both startling and unsettling given the fact that 83 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians.
