We wish to appeal to you on behalf of Yecenia Armenta who is the subject of our deepest concerns. Through the AmnestyUSA organization, we learned about Yecenia’s case. We don’t think she has been treated justly and given the chance to prove herself innocent. We implore you to please change your mind on the decisions that you have made to keep Yecenia under custody.
To refresh your memory, she was abducted on her way to the airport on July 2012, for murdering her husband although no evidence was present. She was then tortured and threatened until she signed her confession while blindfolded. Since then she has been held accountable in prison for 3 years.
