According to my scores, I am most comfortable with ‘modeling the way’ which I gave myself a score of 25 and it was my highest self-rating and observers rating. I believe this is the case because I always try to set the best example, one that is easily understood and to follow so that others can be successful as well. I set clear goals and plans in my initiatives and often implement plans to help me achieve those as well as regularly review my progress and success to see if there are noticeable improvements

important thing that I will take from the course is that I am unable to change someone’s behaviour. The only behaviour I can control and change is my own. Through the course I have learned new skills and intend on making an effort to change or experiment with some of my behaviours in the coming weeks and months. From the training I have learnt that when I do change my behaviour some of my attitudes and feelings will also change.

Parties Walking up the stairs to this loud, crowded, messy house, where tonight’s ‘phat’ party is being held. I take in the horrible smell of burning tobacco floating through the air being produced by young adolescents who have their 12oz. in one hand, and their Marlboro burning in the other. Black lungs, lung cancer, and that terrible smokers cough is all I can think of as I walk past these kids to one of my high school buddies who enjoys getting his pack-a-day of nicotine, tar filled cancer

Unforgiven I was enjoying my senior year of college, it was all about parties. I had an amazing car and some pretty awesome friends. I say I had, because I lost everything. December 31 - New Years Eve I was on the road and heading to my friend Andrea’s house. She recently moved and had the crazy idea to throw a new year’s eve party. Only thing is, she forgot to text me the address. I had to pull over into a gas station, my tank was on ‘E’. I went inside to speak with the clerk. The cutest

thinking that cannot be changed. As I have thought through this assignment over the last few weeks I have done some reflect on my own philosophy of education and come to some different conclusions. The repetition of the same thing with the expectation of different results is something that plagues educators. As a teacher I tried to change what I am doing to fit the needs of my students. Through professional development I have learned different practices that I can put in place in my classroom on

I became interested in the topic of Ethics of Education because of my struggle with relativism. Holding up the classic trope of the family political arguments, every time I interact with my brother, dad, or mom, we seem to fundamentally disagree on topics including: race, abortions, class, etc. If I was unable to come to a conclusion on how to answer, my brother uses my political stance to put my morality and ethics into questions. Frustrated by his ability to back his arguments with his law school

grader, I remember the first time I stepped foot in the band room for the first marching band rehearsal of the season. The band room was full of chaos and people eager to meet me and show me what to do. I was immediately overwhelmed and not dressed properly. I had black yoga pants on and black flip flops. I’m not sure what was going through my mind knowing this was marching band and I should be in shorts and tennis shoes. Despite my wardrobe, the first rehearsal was extremely tiring and I did not
