Can you imagine trying to survive crossing a big river when suddenly soldiers are shooting at you? People survive challenging environments in different ways. One way people survive challenging environments is by working together as a group. Being in a big group while in a challenging environment can help you a lot because you wouldn't have to do all the work. It could also help you because you might not be as smart as the person you're with.
