This is my book report on A Work In Progress by Connor Franta. This book illustrates his childhood life and what he did throughout his twenty-two years. The genre of this book is a memoir. The point of the view is first person; by the author his self, Connor Franta. The book takes place in 2000’s at La Crescent, Minnesota and then later at Los Angeles, California. On page 1, he starts off by, “It’s a chilly autumn day, with dew still clinging to the grass, a slight breeze in the air.” He stated that on page16, if you own an acre of land in Minnesota, you’ll either inherit the land or plant an apple tree. He grew up and spent all of his childhood in Minnesota, until he reached the age of 20. At the age of 20, he followed his dream and went to pursuit his career as a YouTuber. The other minor characters that affected him greatly are his family members who are Cheryl, Peter, Dustin, Nicola, and Brandon. Connor Franta is white, gay, proud American who is 5’10 with green eyes and dark blonde brown hair color. He also nice, caring and hates the feeling of being left out.
