Unfortunately after multiple runs we were unable to come up with a password. Our next option was to one find a much larger and more comprehensive rainbow table, or two use a new password cracking tool altogether. After finding that most rainbow tables that were large enough to crack the hash were only being sold online, we decided to try a website to decode the hash. But, before trying to find another tool to decode the password were decided to look into John Winburg’s facebook for clues as to what his password could be. We did find a comment that said his password was “abcabcabc”, unfortunately this password did not work for his email account nor his facebook account. After this fell through we went back to our original plan of finding another resource online to help us crack the hashed password. After much searching we were able to find https://hashkiller.co.uk/ntlm-decrypter.aspx and by using their online tool we were able to decode that the password was winburg@ss.
