Amy Domini established common ground for Slow Food and Fast Food in paragraph two when stating: “Although we favor local organic food, we recognize it isn’t available in every community…” Domini clarified that although she herself is a Slow Food advocate, she understands why there is a greater preference to fast foods; it’s not only easier to access but also much more economic: “[organic food] is often priced above the means of an average household.” Domini then explained that because of the tedious efforts necessary to acquire healthier food, fast food has become all that more appealing, becoming the easy, economic alternative.
