A big way that Cassie changes in the book is she stops secluding herself. What I mean is that she stops living in her own world filled with only her drawings and books. She starts to make new friends and try new activities or go back to things that she used to love. For Cassandra this is one of the hardest things to do sense she has been alone for a very long time she can run into problems. What I mean is she is not used to other people and she is always worried that she can’t express her opinion in case she might say the wrong thing. This is something that Cassie has worked towards and she now does not feel weird about speaking her mind. She even made some friends like Paris, “You” , Shane and sometimes speaks with Paris’s roommate. Something that I noticed is that Cassie has worked hard to start letting people into her life and she is not afraid anymore to show them who she is.
