Narration The person telling the story is the narrator the narrator helps t shape the story for the reader. Point of view The point of view is the perspective from which the narrator tells the story. The point of view can be indentified in five ways. 1 First person It will use the Pronoun “I” and will place the narrator in the story.
2 Third person this will use the pronouns “he” or “she but will typically limit it to one characters Point of view Third Person Omniscient
Will use the pronouns “he” “she” and “they however, the narrator will move in and out of the mind of several characters.
Third person objective point of view will limit the intervention of the narrator. The setting and action will be described and we will listen in audience. The narrarator will not interpret for the reader. Shifting point of view The shifting point of view will shift the focus from a narrow to a broader perspective of the omniscient narrator
Setting the location and the atmosphere of the story
Conflict this is the struggle of opposing external or internal forces
Plot
This is the structure of the story. It’s the twists & turns. It you the story un folds.

Allteration This is the use of similar consant sounds. Using woods that begin with the same on similar consonants’ helps to form the movement of the poem Example Do or Die/ Sink of Swim “Whether with wordier text way false? Assonance The repetition of identical or similar vowel sounds in neighboring words. It sets he mood for the peom.
Example “ Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled peppers.” Assonance & alliteration
Formal Verse *
The Sonnet is an example of a Formal Verse. It contains fourteen lines and is usually written in iambic Pent ammeter.
Blank Verse I*
Is unrhymed but will typically follow a regular verse form such as iambic Pentameter.
The rhythm Sounds like a Ta-Dum, Ta-Dum Ta-Dum, Ta-Dum

This Verse is not constrained by an imposed form.*

Learning about plot structures,
Learning about plot structures help you build upon the story in which you are going to write. If you have a twist you want to throw in a story you can do that or if there is a twist that is possible as well. I really understand that while doing this you can set the atmosphere, the crisis, or climax. This is a way to lead the reader into what you are going to say. In doing this you are able to write any story you want and the reader will enjoy the ride.
Chpt 4 Argumentation Argumentative Essay An argumentative essay will focus on the actual literature. The work is carefully analyzed.
Interpretation and Evaluation As the reader, we interpret and evaluate the information that is provided for us. This information helps the reader to better understand and prepare an argument based on the information provided
Remember to do the following:

3 Include personal reflections that are supported by information from the text.
4 Define your standards in your discussion.

I am looking forward to Spring Break because; I need a break from my daily routine. I also want to take my family to the beach in Galveston and Six flags upon returning home. I will also get to spend some quality time with my wife in a special way. I also look forward to the smiles my daughters have when we go to a new place. We will go to all the site seeing spots and then top it off with a shopping spree.

March 25, 2013 listening to Beloveth is like listening to a old story told by a person who has experienced a lot of grieve. In that time there was slavery men and women who were treated bad and then there were slave owner who treated there slave better than property. I enjoy hearing different comments when it comes to Toni Morrison she tells a story no one else seems to try. Her graphic views and statements help her stand out in the world of story telling.
Symbolism in Beloved

The street address represents the number of children Sethe had. The number three is missing because beloved was killed by Sethe. How do you handle the Chokecherry tree in your life? For me it is take a deep breaths thanking God I’m not what I used to be and that I’m looking forward to a much better life for me as well as my family. I Give all my problems to God and do what he tells me to do. I handle what I can and what I cannot I don’t. Life will always bring about new challenges and as a person with faith I just pray and watch.

Since I been writing I have learned that some stories or books are not what they seemed to be. Some authors are very creative and have a story of their own life, or their family history. Then I have learned as long as you can support the story with concrete evidence Primary, and secondary you can write just about anything your mind allows you to.

Connecting Through Comparison When you make connections through comparison you should make it clear to the reader what is being compared . Without letting the reader know what is being compared, it is difficult for the reader to make the clear connections in the essay
Sibling Relationships In Sonny’s Blues and the Red Convertible, the area that is being carefully looked at is the relationships with two men who have their brothers. Sonny’s Blues by James Baldwin is a story written in first born-person narrative. The narrator will read an article about his brother, Sonny, who is caught in a heroin bust. Sonny’s Blues is a short story that was published in 1957.
Sethe’s: Mother- Daughter Relationships Sethe’s connection to her children is what eventually Leads her to kill her daughter, Beloved. If you could compare Toni Morrison to James Baldwin what would you say I would agree they both have a good understanding of our Black history? Story of an Hour

...“When the doctors came they said she had dies of heart disease--of joy that kills” (Roberts 342). This is the final and pivotal line in Kate Chopin’s “Story of an Hour” written in 1894. The story tells a tale of a woman named Louise realizing her husband had died in a railroad accident. She goes to her room only to find a new found freedom she now has without her husband. “She began to weep again and then she was young, she was new, she was somehow reborn” (Fatima). This freedom is crushed when she finally emerges to see her husband alive. The sight kills her where she stood. “When she sees him she dies instantly … she has to continue living a depressing life that has no meaning or excitement included” (Fatima). I am going to show how through the use of such literary devices as irony and connotation Chopin added a depth to the story that moves the reader. The story has one of the best examples of irony you can find. The very last line of the story states that Louise had died of heart disease—of joy that kills. The tragic irony is that it was both joy and sadness that killed her. She dies from the sadness of knowing the joy see realized through looking out her window has been crushed. This joy of freedom and independence is what killed her. Without filling herself with this joy she would not have anything to be destroyed when she realized her husband was alive.
