...Baosteel Group could increase its output as the new company had the permission to build a new 10-million-ton steel-making base in Zhanjiang City. The new base in Zhanjiang City was promising as it would solve the lack of steel-making facilities in Guangdong, save money due to the shorter distance to Australian iron ore sources and face a ready market with Honda’s and Toyota’s manufacturing facilities demanding their flat rolled steel. They needed, however, to modernize the enterprises, eliminate the obsolete capacity and shut down environmentally critical operations. Besides the favorable effects of the Guangdong project it also raised difficult governance issues. The first issue was how and whether to respond to minority investors in the Baoshan listed subsidiary who were asking why the project was being pursued by the Group and not the listed company. Baosteel officials decided to develop the project under the group in order to not harm the performance of...

...FE to Delay Decision on $3.6 Billion Steel Plant in Vietnam Masumi Suga and Yasumasa SongDec 07, 2012 1:48 am ET (Updates with closing share price in fifth paragraph.) Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- JFE Holdings Inc., Japan’s second- biggest steelmaker, will push back a decision on whether to build a $3.6 billion integrated steel mill in Vietnam, its first outside Japan, as it assesses competitive risks. “We initially said a conclusion will be reached by the end of this year, but we’ll need a bit more time,” Eiji Hayashida, president of steel unit JFE Steel Corp., said in an interview Dec. 5 at the company’s Tokyo headquarters. “Things won’t go smoothly until we make sure that we’ll beat the competition as many projects are being lined up to build new mills in southern China and Vietnam.” JFE’s plan is part of a push to be closer to customers in markets where demand is surging for Japanese products such as cars. The company’s challenge will be to cope with the high cost of setting up a plant at a time when China’s slowing economy is causing a glut, said Shinya Yamada, an analyst with Credit Suisse Securities Japan Ltd. “It’s no use to go ahead with the project when the industry is struggling with excess steel supply,” said Yamada, who has an outperform rating for JFE shares. “The risk is high.” JFE rose 0.9 percent to 1,310 yen in Tokyo, paring the stock’s decline this year to 6 percent. The key Nikkei 225 Stock Average has gained 13 percent since Jan. 1. Feasibility...

...Customer Complaint has a good value to Company I absolutely agree with the customer's complaint is the seat of Baoshan remark. Because the customer's expectations for the company's products, so after the purchase when there are errors found naturally upset, so ask the company, so the company should be careful to understand customers are not satisfied with the place, and make improvements. Customer complaints for many reasons, there may be a lack of local products, by handling customer complaints, you can make yourself a better understanding of the manufacturing process and product features the company's products. For example, I was the Secretary for the sales of instant noodles, soup packets may be left behind in the production process, customers will naturally not happy after opening the product, so you can reflect on the vulnerability of production to the person in charge of production, strengthening quality management. Another error is that the package instructions or instructions for use and the actual different, because a lot of customers when the company will follow the steps set out to do. If the effect can not be made as scheduled, the customer naturally unhappy after opening the product, they can take packing instructions or use the opportunity to learn whether there are deficiencies. If the effect can be made as scheduled, it can be personally taught the proper use of the customer; Ruoguo failure to make timely results, requires the company responsible immediately...

...sign a peace treaty. But by the time this peace treaty was concluded in 1978, China's focus on the Soviet threat led to the inclusion of an "anti-hegemony" statement. In less than 30 years, China had signed an anti-Japanese treaty with the Soviet Union, and a treaty having an anti-Soviet component with Japan. From the 1970s into the 1980s, economic relations were the focus of relations between China and Japan. Despite concern in the late 1980s over a trade imbalance, the volume of Sino-Japanese trade showed no sign of declining. Relations suffered a setback in 1979 and 1980, when China canceled or modified overly ambitious plans made in the late 1970s to import large quantities of Japanese technology, the best-known example involving the Baoshan iron and steel complex in Shanghai. Lower expectations on both sides seemed to have created a more realistic economic and technological partnership by the late 1980s. Chinese relations with Japan during the 1980s were generally close and cordial. ...

...Abstract Potassium (K) and nitrogen (N) are two major nutrients in crop production. A deficiency of either one or both of these nutrients causes yield loss. In the specific case of tobacco production, both nutrients play a key role in controlling important quality parameters such as leaf color, texture, hygroscopic properties, combustibility, sugar and alkaloid contents. Monitoring N applications thoroughly for form, quantity, and timing of application is a prerequisite in modern agriculture. As in other field crops, balanced N-K fertilization enhances tobacco growth and improves the uptake of both nutrients, which in turn reduces nitrate losses during and after the cropping season. The importance of K on mineral nutrition in tobacco production in terms of yield and quality is presented. The role of K in determining the chemical composition of tobacco leaf is now well established. K content of dry matter must reach 2 to 2.5 percent and chloride (Cl) content must remain below 1 to 1.5 percent in order to ensure good maturation, perfect combustibility and a good taste. The paper reports several pot and field experiments carried out in France, China and Cuba, in which various factors affecting yield and quality of the tobacco crop were studied including dose, source, and timing of potash applications. The effect of the combination of various potash forms (potassium sulphate, potassium chloride, potassium nitrate, potassium bicarbonate) with two N sources (nitrate...
