...Kaplan University Brand Extension Marketing Plan Project 1.0 Executive Summary Beachbody was created in 1998 by John Congdon and Carl Daikeler. Beachbody produces, markets and sells its home-based fitness and nutrition products through infomercials and its Team Beachbody coaches. While Beachbody offers hundreds of fitness and nutrition products, they didn't have a product that helps underweight people put on weight. Beachbody will roll out a product called Mass Morph as a line extension to their Body Beast line. Body Beast already has a comprehensive line of supplements and a meal plan, but these do not currently contain a weight gainer. The product is a weight gainer that will cater to those looking to gain muscle. One pound is equivalent to 3,500 calories, so adding an additional 500 calories per day to ones diet can help them add a pound of muscle per week. Weight gainers help achieve this by supplementing their current diet with high concentrations of protein, carbohydrates and fat. This product will only contain high-quality ingredients instead of fillers and lots of sugar and additives. This is beneficial to the consumer because if a weight gainer contains these fillers, additives and loads of sugar, the weight they gain will be fat instead of muscle. Mass Morph will be marketed domestically first, because there are a lot of regulations on getting supplements approved globally. Beachbody gets its ingredients from all over the world—often from remote jungles and villages...

...The role of marketing has changed over time; beginning with the simple trade era, a time when everything was either made or harvested by hand (White, 2010), to the Social Media Marketing Era. The following eras will be described using different business types to explain what companies did during the era; Production Era, Sales Era, Marketing Concept Era, Market Orientation Era, Customer Experience Management Era, and Social Media Marketing Era. The production era began in the mid 1800s and lasted for 60 years. The revolution of mass production began during this era and business’ main focus was on selling their products rather than satisfying customer needs (Crane, 2014). The Ford Motor Company played a big part in the production era, this is when Henry Ford introduced the first moving assembly line. The moving assembly line at the Ford Motor Company was able to to meet the ever growing demands of a motorized vehicle by producing one Model T vehicle every 24 seconds (History, 2009). The main focus of The Ford Motor Company was the amount of vehicles the assembly line could produce and sell; this was done by creating using production plants where the parts being used to produce the vehicles could be interchangeable on the assembly line, and the ability of the assembly line to move instead of being static. After the production era came the sales era, beginning in the 1920s and lasted until the 1960s. Industries, like the flour industry, were producing more than customers could...

...The majority of individuals set goals to live a healthy lifestyle and workout to be fit. Each person has a preference in how, when, if and where they will follow through with these goals. It’s no problem for confident individuals to get up and go to the gym if they have time, but others may not have time to work out in a gym or may simply be too insecure to work out in a gym with other individuals that appear to look like they are in a better shape than they are. For these individuals, Beachbody has developed several in-home workout programs that help people workout to achieve their fitness goals in the privacy of their own homes. Beachbody offers many target markets that will be of interest to individuals that want to develop healthy and fit bodies. Customers want this product because they can workout in their home five days a week in less than thirty minutes. When buying this product, customers consider the idea of “time” being on their side. They want great results in little time, so they purchase the program in order to look as good as individuals who go to a gym and pay monthly membership fees. The service is a one-time purchase the customer can use as long as they want, so they can always use this program to show off their sculpted body. Each of their markets has great opportunities targeted to specific benefits of services produced. One target market I want to look at specifically is one of the latest is the workout program Focus T25. This workout program is designed...

This article had ethical choices because the old CEO was not making very good decisions for the company so they choose a more reserved and quite CEO even though he had no investment background. In todays age Companies must create a ethically healthy climate for there employees. By creating this environment it shows Barclays wants there employees to behave ethically. The last Article I read was The Folks Who Brought You Paul Ryan’s Abs. The OB topic I feel that related to this article the most was working in Networked organizations. Team beachBody allows...

...So, it all seemingly started when, I reached out to a coach from Beachbody, because I just was not having the success I needed with my health and I needed accountability and something different. She’s great, and i just know God had put this in motion, because of all the coaches beachbody online could have sent me I got Mandie, shes located not too far from Indy and it just gives me a sense of connection with her, and shes a Christian and that really helps to share the same life motivations, and other things to, in general were a good match. So I now have her help to get my health and fitness on track, and I decided to become a coach myself, because I know I can do what she does and I’d really enjoy it. I mean id do it for free, but why not get paid for it too. and ive made a few other friends through beachbody too, and its really helping my personal growth, and that is actually what inspired me to share with you today, my person growth journey, because I’m excited about it, and would nt mind some accountability with it and hope possibly might inspire you with something I share. My transformation story: I’ll try to be brief, lol. I was always active growing up, played soccer and softball since I was 7 and never worried about being in shape or healthy because I was for the most part. I went to college and was not very active any longer and ate as much and whatever I wanted. I usually had Taco Bell or Noble Romans bread stix for dinner. I don’t know how much I weighed but...

...public attitudes, perceptions, and preferences. For instance, the rest of the world recognizes the word “football” as what American’s call soccer. American football is the most popular sport in the United States and fans of football teams have his or her own cultures. Major trends in American culture I follow daily are social media, sports, and music. I am a Beachbody coach. I use social media to get my message of fitness out. I am on Facebook every day attempting to motivate my friends to get off their butts’ and prepare for their future health. Instagram, allows people to motivate me by liking or commenting my fitness pictures or videos. I am a huge sports fan. From the first time I watched an NFL game when I was 11 years old, I was addicted. I played football, basketball and ran track all through middle and high school. I listen to sports radio all day. Football is the one sport that I will ignore the world for. Music is a huge part of my life. While writing this paper, I am listening to Pandora. I have a mix of high culture with my Tchaikovsky and subculture/popular culture with my Dirtyphonic Dubstep channels. As a Beachbody coach, I am a part of the health and fitness culture. Almost all of my decisions are based on this culture. I wake up every day at five in the morning workout and plan out my meals for the day. I want to say I am a part of counterculture but when I grocery shop I notice more items being gear toward healthy. After reading many articles on how other nations...
