SUMMARY
Organizes, schedules, directs employee function in the work place while conducting inspection of products while keeping inventories at a profiting level through supervision of employees and delegating duties.
RELATIONSHIPS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES includes but not limited to the following:
Creating a work environment to represent and up hold the Ben’s Chophouse and Grill’s values and products.
Creating and exceeding sales goals and profit margins.
Creates market plans for growth and capital to customers in and out of store area.
Delegate employees’ duties and services accordingly following company guidelines.
Develop customer relationships for return business.
Research area demographics for pre-approved deals and specials that apply to the surrounding customers
AUTHORITY OF INCUMBENT
Serves the company with the ability to hire, terminate, and punish employees in association with the guidelines set by company regulations.
Reports directly to owners holding an open communication line on activities throughout the workplace. More duties may be assigned.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Following guidelines set by company policy performance has direct correlation to potential earnings
Extensive bonus programs allows for majority of earning from compensation of performance.
Using related software and potential increase in profits compensation bonus will stem from obtainable goals while minimal performance can result in termination.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to work in a high paced environment in a moderately stressful surrounding with potentially disgruntled employees that will need on the spot guidance.
Must be able to approach customer base with engaging communication for immediate feedback on dinning experience.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Must be fluent in Japanese
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office based programs
Must have 5-7 years in service industry general management experience.
Must be able to provide references from previous employers.
Must have B.A. or B.S. or equivalent education and experience combination.

The recruitment strategy for the general management position would consist on selecting a candidate that is open to the idea of international travel and perhaps dealing with a customer culture that is very different from what is considered normal culture. The focus in selecting an applicant would involve the exposure to the Japanese culture as a whole. Culture difference can pay a huge roll in a service industry position. The hotel and resort will feature customer from many different areas of the world but mostly will consist of the Japanese culture customer base. It is critical that the applicant understand the Japanese language and vernacular. Ben’s Chophouse and Grill is essentially and Americanized Company that is looking to expand into international means. The applicant must be fluent in Japanese and must have understanding of both cultures and how to mix and represent the Ben’s Chophouse and Grill brand in two, often conflicting, environments. Finding an applicant that is a citizen of United States of America and willing to work in Japan would present some problems since the relocation is so vast. The main focus group would be American descendants of the Japanese culture or Japanese speaking Americans that studied any international business majors with second language of Japanese. Finding the right applicant would take some time. Once that applicant is found the company will offer incentives based of length of employment and the bonus structure. Allowing the General Manager to have authority of incumbent over employees will allow the GM to build a work base that will meet and compliment their needs. Staying within company guidelines the General Manager will get reviews on the work that is being completed and the finances that are being brought in as result of the work. The General Manager will have to be a goal oriented and look for competitive means to increase the effective of the position. The position will require the employee to develop a planning system that allows employee to grow and develop into the company’s ideals. The applicant chosen for the General Manager position will have opportunities to give insight based off the knowledge and experience that is gained through employment. If these insights pro helpful then the company will take this into consideration when expansion options become feasible in future endeavors in the area. Pending expansion and employment benefits are negotiable for experienced applicants. Growth and development of employees is the goal for Ben’s Chophouse and Grill. Potential Regional Managers or higher positions that become available will be elected to individuals within the company that do not stagnate in current positions. Growth potential is the main strategy for retaining an employee once he or she has the position. With the expansion to an international venue at a resort then the types of deals going forward could lead to company expansions in various resorts in affiliation with the resort brand name at different international locations. The work the General Manager puts into the position will direct effect the brand name of the company allowing the employee to gain insurmountable experience and knowledge surrounding a different culture and gain access to identifying with different cultures.
