Bundys earliest documented homicides were committed in 1974 when Bundy was 27 years old. Homicide detective Robert D. Keppel believed that Bundy might have started killing as a teenager. Circumstantial evidence suggested that Bundy abducted and killed 8-year-old Ann Marie Burr when he was 14 years old in 1961. Bundy repeatedly denied the allegation.
