Pack-iTS is an entrepreneurial venture that offers elementary school students healthy lunch and delivery service, run by six college students in Ontario. Their initial fund was $25,000 for the investment. Also, they had to find out if they would need additional financing and where they could obtain it. These six college students came up with Pack-iTS’s business idea since they noticed that approximately 500,000 elementary school students were obese, and the obesity rate had been dramatically increasing from three percent in 1979 to eight percent 2004. The reason why the obesity rate of children increased was because balancing the time between work and family duties had been inefficient and difficult for many parents. These six partners realized that they could contribute to reducing the obesity rate by providing healthy lunches for children’s physical and psychosocial well-being. Pack-iTS’s target market had 154 elementary schools with the family income between $28,800 and $66,100 in London, Ontario. The price of Pack-iTS’s lunch package was about $5 per child. And, each child goes to school five days a week and 38 weeks a year. This lunch package provides various healthy food choices on Sandwich, snack, dessert, and drinks. We analyzed the cost and revenue for Pack-iTS concretely to evaluate the feasibility, risk, and need for an extra employees. Overall, our group as their partners, strongly believes that Pack-iTS is feasible, based on Pack-iTS’s appropriate target market and business objectives. Against current competition, Pack-iTS needs to be positioned on the bases of nutrition, affordable price, and quality menu. Besides these factors, prompt and timely delivery will also make this venture stand apart since in educational institutes, time matters a lot and lunch breaks are often allowed for a few minutes. Pack-iTS would be required to hire an
