Mixture – is a combination of two substances in such a way that no chemical reaction occurs between the components and you can separate them again. A mixture is a material system made up of two or more different substances which are mixed but are not combined chemically. The substances in a mixture can be separated using physical methods such as filtration, freezing, and distillation.

Examples of Mixtures sand and water salt and water sugar and salt

Elements are chemically the simplest substances and hence cannot be broken down using chemical methods. Elements can only be changed into other elements using nuclear methods. An element is a type of matter composed of atoms that all have exactly the same positive charge on their nuclei. In other words, all atoms of an element have the same

Compound is a chemical species that is formed when two or more atoms join together chemically, with covalent or ionic bonds. A compound is a substance formed when two or more chemical elements are chemically bonded together.
Chemical compounds can be broadly classified into two categories, namely, organic compounds and inorganic compounds.

Organic compounds are complex compounds of carbon in which one or more atoms of carbon are covalently linked to atoms of other elements, such as hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. Hydrocarbons are organic compounds that are made up of carbon and hydrogen atoms only.

Hydrocarbons are further classified into alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Aerospace Engineering Research Paper

...Out of all the careers that I could have researched why did I research Electrical/Electronics and Aerospace Engineers? I researched them because even though I was told my top 30 careers none of those careers were interesting to me. Electrical/Electronics Engineering is interesting because it involves lots of exercise in one's knowledge of modern day technology and how to improve upon what already exists. Aerospace Engineering is interesting because it involves exercise in one’s knowledge of how something is supposed to work and how to evaluate what is wrong with a prototype and how to fix it. My interest in technology has led me to like engineering as a career choice, and my want and need to help the world advance technologically has led me...

Computer Engineering

...Computer Engineering Throughout the world, engineering is perhaps the most necessary job in any context, whether it be designing buildings, roads, chemicals, or even software or hardware for a computer. In this day and age, this is more evident in the rising computer industry. As society progresses in the 21st century, the need for computer engineers of all kinds can only increase. Coming to realization with the increasing need for those interested in computer engineering, one could see how this would be an ideal field to study. With a diverse range of courses available for computer engineering, from writing software to designing hardware, and the ever increasing use of computers in general, it is easy to see why this career path is one worth pursuit. To start, there are two main paths of computer engineering, as stated previously, hardware engineering and software engineering. Computer hardware engineers research, design, develop, test, and manage the manufacture and installation of various computer hardware ("Computer Engineering"). According to the above website, hardware includes computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and equipment such as keyboards, routers, and even printers. If one were to go into this field of engineering, they would also learn of the electrical details which go into hardware engineering. "The work of computer hardware engineers is similar to that of electronics engineers in that they design and test circuits and other electronic components"...

Engineering Overview

...Engineering Overview The Field Engineers apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems. Their work is the link between perceived social needs and commercial applications. Engineers design products, machinery to build those products, plants in which those products are made, and the systems that ensure the quality of the products and the efficiency of the workforce and manufacturing process. Engineers design, plan, and supervise the construction of buildings, highways, and transit systems. They develop and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials, such as petroleum and natural gas. They develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology. They harness the power of the sun, the Earth, atoms, and electricity for use in supplying the Nation's power needs, and create millions of products using power. They analyze the impact of the products they develop or the systems they design on the environment and on people using them. Engineering knowledge is applied to improving many things, including the quality of healthcare, the safety of food products, and the operation of financial systems. Engineers consider many factors when developing a new product. For example, in developing an industrial robot, engineers determine precisely what function the robot needs to perform; design and test the robot's components; fit the...

Professional Organizations

...Professional Organizations-Software Engineering Graduating with a degree in Information Technology poses new and interesting challenges. A new career opportunity in a challenging and rewarding field is most often the focus of a student during school and becomes the main objective upon graduation. In reality, a college degree means one thing; that the graduate met the requirements and has learned the fundamentals. It is not unusual for a graduate holding a degree in software engineering to obtain a professional position that requires him or her to perform duties which include other aspects of information technology such as project management, systems administration, or security administration; therefore, it is inevitable that an individual will face situations where he or she must seek knowledge or advice from other professionals with expertise in another specialty (Willson, 2010)). Professional associations, organizations, and societies are non-profit organizations that seek to promote the advancement and interest of a particular profession or field of study; therefore, would be a logical resource for sound advice and knowledge for any professional who is passionate about their chosen profession (Willson, 2010). For example, a professional Software Engineer may wish to consider membership an organization that is specific to Software Engineering. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a non-profit organization that develops, defines, and reviews...
