Choosing a successor
When you have owned a company for a long time, it is very hard to let it go and have someone else take over, simply because you do not know if things will be the same or if they will change for the worst or for the better. Paul is going to have to trust a candidate to take over. In this essay, we will discuss some important factors about the candidates, who we think can manage the company and we will get to know our candidates a little better.
Strengths and weaknesses
There are three candidates for the leader role for choosing a successor. All are internal of the Ambulatory Care Center. The candidates are Taneshia, Felipe, and Amanda. They have their strength and weaknesses for this successor role. The first candidate is Taneshia. Her strengths are that she is an African American, has a bachelor degree in health administration with a minor in human resources, really good with technology, implemented the electronic health records, and she improved the record keeping methods. However, Taneshia weakness are that she is very opinionated, but she can only do the job well. Candidate two is Felipe, his strengths are 29 years old, Hispanic, master’s degree in business administration, he has worked at building relationships in the community, and he has improved the centers reputation in the community. Felipe current duties are in marketing and contracting. Because of these strengths, he could potentially receive the insurance contract in the community from the manufacturing plant which is the goal of the center. However, his weakness is he has never managed anyone before. Candidate number three is Amanda and her strengths are 10 years employed at center, business office manager, bachelor degree in health administration, and when the leader is on vacation Amanda fills in.
