This may be explained from the original aim and principle of communication. First, senders and receivers of messages constitute the two side of the conversation. However, the role is not limited one person, we are not only senders, but also receivers. When we say something and try to make our thoughts and expressions understood by others, we are senders of the message, but when we are the listeners and try to get it, we are receivers.
