Re: Our Target Goal

Atha Corportaion is determined to double its sales. The goal is simple but the movement requires tactics, innovation and all man on board. It should be within our interest to retain our employees. This can only be done through training and development so that we sharpen the skills and talents of employees and retain the skills within our organization. Although employees are our greatest asset as they possess human intelligence, this can further be reinforced by adopting new leading edge technology and new investment (Ivey Business Journal, 2015). The executive management team has great expectations and believes this is an all-important venture.
Of course, in order for us, the corporation to meet its goals, we need all departments to work interdependently because no one department can achieve the company’s goals on its own. Therefore, each department should seek ways and means to develop its employees and develop goals that are SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, and reasonable and time specific).
As mentioned before, our greatest asset is our employees. Our goals can only be achieved through them. As a result, any negative atmosphere that hovers in any department pertaining to employee relations should be corrected immediately. If we improve the employee morale, we raise the standard of the corporation. We also motivate employees so that each team can reach its objectives (Mind Tools, n.d.). It is important to note that an organization can never excel above the function an d the corporation of its employees. It is absolutely necessary that the Human Resources Department liaison with every other department to correct this issue. As of today, each department should work with its eyes fixed on the prize. This goal is smart. It is measurable.

...------------------------------------------------- Business English From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Business English is English language especially related to international trade. It is a part of English for Specific Purposesand can be considered a specialism within English language learning and teaching; for example, the teachers' organisationIATEFL has a special interest group called BESIG. Many non-native English speakers study the subject with the goal of doing business with English-speaking countries, or with companies located outside the Anglosphere but which nonetheless use English as a shared language or lingua franca. Much of the English communication that takes place within business circles all over the world occurs between non-native speakers. In cases such as these, the object of the exercise is efficient and effective communication. The strict rules of grammar are in such cases sometimes ignored, when, for example, a stressed negotiator's only goal is to reach an agreement as quickly as possible. (See linguist Braj Kachru's theory of the "expanding circle".) Business English means different things to different people. For some, it focuses on vocabulary and topics used in the worlds of business, trade, finance, and international relations. For others it refers to the communication skills used in the workplace, and focuses on the language and skills needed for typical business communication such as presentations, negotiations, meetings, small talk, socializing, correspondence...

Cover Letter

...All cover letters should: Explain why you are sending a resume. Don't send a resume without a cover letter. Don't make the reader guess what you are asking for; be specific: Do you want a summer internship opportunity, or a permanent position at graduation; are you inquiring about future employment possibilities? Tell specifically how you learned about the position or the organization — a flyer posted in your department, a web site, a family friend who works at the organization. It is appropriate to mention the name of someone who suggested that you write. Convince the reader to look at your resume. The cover letter will be seen first. Therefore, it must be very well written and targeted to that employer. Call attention to elements of your background — education, leadership, experience — that are relevant to a position you are seeking. Be as specific as possible, using examples. Reflect your attitude, personality, motivation, enthusiasm, and communication skills. Provide or refer to any information specifically requested in a job advertisement that might not be covered in your resume, such as availability date, or reference to an attached writing sample. Indicate what you will do to follow-up. In a letter of application — applying for an advertised opening — applicants often say something like "I look forward to hearing from you." However, if you have further contact info (e.g. phone number) and if...

Career Fair Narrative Report

...In preparation for career fair, I focused on how to present myself and what companies I wanted to visit. I updated my resume in response to the suggestions made when I turned it in for one of the previous assignments in Business 101. In order to keep a professional appearance, I bought special resume paper at the Illini Union Bookstore rather than using standard paper. Once I had my resume up to date and my business professional attire ready, I researched the companies attending career fair. I looked on Handshake to see the companies attending and wrote down the ones I wanted to check out. As a result, I already had a game plan before attending the fair. As I was heading to the fair, I met someone on the bus who was also going, so we decided on being somewhat like partners. Therefore, my first look at career fair wasn’t as overwhelming because I had comfort in the fact that I was with someone also experiencing the fair for the first time. For the first five minutes, I got a map of the fair and circled the companies I wanted to visit (from my research the night before) on the map. The fair was huge, so mapping out my route helped scale it down. Once I mapped out where I wanted to go, I had to break apart with my partner because we had different companies we wanted to visit. By then, I met my first recruiter. My first interaction with a recruiter was for Teach For America. There were relatively few people surrounding the booth, so greeting the recruiter was fairly easy....

...Resources representative with TRON to build core human resource and business expertise skills. Assignments within this job posting include labor relations benefits, talent acquisition among others. The hiring decision process included some challenges and difficulties. At times, not every member was present at the same time in order to collaborate live about the strengths and weaknesses of each applying candidate. Hiring the right candidate was our choice and responsibility to insure that we are avoiding a future employee that could present threats or problems for TRON. This responsibility put a lot of pressure on my hiring committee. Also, it was difficult when candidates would not submit the assignments in a timely manner, such as the cover letter, resume, or online interview stream. This led to difficulty in collaborating and discussing the candidates’ job eligibility. When it came time to hire an individual, we went through a series of questions to assess each candidate. First we simply asked the hiring committee “is the applicant qualified to perform the job?”. We needed to think twice before hiring an applicant into a job that is outside his or her set of skills and knowledge. Next we asked, “is the applicant enthusiastic?”. It is important for an applicant to express enthusiasm for the job they are applying for because the more excited they are, the more effort they will put into the job. Showing enthusiasm can point toward the applicant’s work ethic and performance...

Picture yourself sitting face-to-face with a person doing work that is interesting. What would you say? What do you want to ensure they know about you before you leave the room? Your letter is a chance to make a great first impression or continue a conversation that has already been started. Your letter is something employers expect —it shows your professionalism and helps them get to know you Every time you submit a résumé, you should attach an accompanying letter. Even if they don’t specifically request it, employers expect documentation from you that shows your professionalism and potential contributions. What better way to start than by using a cover letter? Your letter should clearly show the match —it illustrates the connections between you and the work Some employers scan your résumé first, while others start with the cover letter. To increase your chances of being invited to an interview, ensure that both documents clearly show the match between what the employer needs and what you can contribute. Once you have made the match, remember that the letter is your chance to stand out as an individual from the many other qualified applicants.
