The young woman I interviewed name was Paige Scherzinger. Scherzinger was named one of The University of Akron’s Top 10 Seniors. To prepare for my interview I wrote down questions to ask that would bring out passion and why she received this award. The information needed to fulfill this interview was what she has accomplished while attending The University of Akron to deserve the award. Scherzinger received this award due to her involvement at the university as the Zips for Saint Jude president for two years. I also interviewed Allison Dohering who was Scherzinger’s supervisor for Zips for Saint Jude. She has known Scherzinger since beginning working in the Department of Student Life her freshman year of college. The questions I asked Scherzinger included; her main goal while attending the University of Akron as a freshman. Scherzinger’s reply was to be admitted into medical school due to her passion for helping children with cancer. Then, began asking her what one word describes herself and why. We decided when the desk slowed down we would just relax and begin the interview. This made Scherzinger feel very comfortable because we both are at work together. I organized my questions by getting to know her then going into what, when, where, and why she receive the Top 10 Senior Award. Scherzinger felt very comfortable in our interview but at first she was not willing to go into a lot of detail with her answers. I felt as though she opened up more once time went on. I only found one question hard to ask and that regarded her gpa. She answered this question truthfully with a 3.86 cumulative gpa.
