Critical Race Theory: An Application To The LGBTQ Community

My Journey As time progresses we must understand our paths that lie before us. To some of us we need to be able to find a full grasp on our lives. With each passing step, we as people try to grasp not only our social identity, but also our own personal identity that plagues within our very souls. High school is not the best place to find yourself, however college is supposed to help you find out who you are as a person. As each year passes us by while in college we can find ourselves even more. Hopefully, one day we will be comfortable with who we are as a person.

I walked into the office and immediately knew something was in the air. As the whole situation began to play out I understood what was happening. There are some people out there who feel like they should hide who they are. They feel as though being different is not accepted in this world. However, they need to make sure that they feel safe and secure on a college campus. This will help them develop the confidence to become who they are and this will help them to face the challenges of the world. I have felt the pressure to try and fit in.
