Over the course of one day walking around campus, I counted 12 surveillance cameras throughout different locations. The first three I saw were in the Wells Library, two were in Cedar Hall, three in CVS, and finally four in Delta Tau Delta. During the normal course of a day I would not normally recognize how many cameras are watching me but when I started to notice how many there actually, we are under surveillance a good portion of our day when we are in public. Whether it is walking to and from class, going to the convenience store, or even being in your fraternity; we are being watched nearly all of the time. With over a hundred brothers living in the house at a time and numerous other staff, getting past the security cameras is only a small part in attempting a break in at Delts, but for this exercise I am going to hold all other factors constant in terms of how I would go about defeating the surveillance in the house. One option would be taking control of the security system from within the network. Although I do not have the know-how on how exactly to do that, I presume it is possible to get into the network by obtaining an IP address and then from that point incapacitating the surveillance system. Other options for how to get around the security could include- cutting the power supply to the house, wearing a hood and hiding your face, and covering the cameras themselves are other possibilities. With the inside knowledge that I have of the house I could, blind from the cameras, enter the rooms where the security tapes are recorded from the outside and then disable the cameras.
