Do you have to wait for people to register for classes? Are you tired of waiting? Well, I am tired of waiting to register for classes. I am usually the last group of people to register. Most of the classes I want or the time I want are already filled up. I think it's unfair for some people to have a head start in registering than others.

I am a freshman and I have to wait until everyone register. I have to take classes and times people don't want. Sometimes I can't wake up to my 8 am classes. Taking early classes sucks. In the morning, sometimes you don't want to go to school or didn't get enough sleep. I have to change my schedule that I wanted to take last term because the classes are already full by the time it comes to me. According to

Topics Paper - Handwashing and Safe Work Place Hygiene.

...William Hughes Pathology Hand washing assignment In today’s society, people have become very physical as a whole. From hugging to shaking hands, everyone in the world has had contact with at least one other person in their life whether it be direct or indirect. With this much contact between people, you would think that people would keep in mind the presence of the different bacteria and germs that can be transferred from person to person. Hand washing has been proven to reduce the amount of germs on the surface of the hands. This in turn helps reduce the transfer of bacteria and germs from one person to another. Unfortunately not everyone washes their hands or if they do they don’t wash them properly. Over the past week I have gone to the same restaurant after school. I’ve sat at the same bar area looking back into the kitchen at the hand washing station. They have fourteen employees at the restaurant and over the past week I watched as they went through their different work tasks. Working with food, you would think that hand washing would be a huge part of their safety precautions. Although they washed their hands when they got food on them, they either didn’t wash them long enough or they just let the water run over their hands without any soap. As I sat there and observed them, I also noticed that of the fourteen employees only ten washed their hands and even then they didn’t do it for the full time. Ten out of fourteen would be 71% of the employees. 71% of the employees...

Organ Donation Persuasive Speech

...Thankfully, my condition improved, and it wasn’t necessary. But I was *this* close, and had I not recovered, the only way I would be alive right now is if somebody had donated their lungs. We’ve heard stories like this before, but it is difficult to grasp the reality of how serious situations like this are. That is, until we realize it could actually happen to anybody. Your mom, your dad, your brother, your sister, even you. It almost happened to me. That’s why today, my central concern is organ donation; or more specifically, the lack thereof. The lack of organ donors has become a significant problem, and more people need to be taking action to put an end to it. There are so many people that could potentially be alive today if they had received organs in time. According to the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, over 121,000 in the U.S. are still waiting (optn.transplant.hrsa.gov). Instead of letting that number increase, we have the power to diminish it. To do this we need to understand the problem. We will do this by looking at what causes people not to donate, the critical implications this has on our society, and finally offer some solutions. While the exact causes for not choosing to become an organ donor may vary for each individual, most of the time this decision is a result of: Misinformation and lack of awareness. According to a survey conducted by Donate Life America in 2011, 55% of Americans believe that it’s possible...

Marketing Plan

...[pic] La Fiesta Marketing Plan Deanna Huneycutt [pic] La Fiesta, Marketing Plan I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY La Fiesta is an authentic Mexican restaurant located in the small town of Greenwood, population of just under 9,000 people. Opened and owned by Able Gonzales since 1995, it has become a very popular eatery in the town. As with most restaurants, La Fiesta has peak times around lunch and dinner that are much busier than the rest of the day. This causes scheduling challenges for cooks and wait staff. Another challenged faced, although a somewhat positive one, is the lack of parking space during the peak hours. Also, the bottleneck around customers paying out could be eased with some change in procedures or additional equipment. The marketing plan was developed based off a SWOT analysis and focuses on continued growth and customer relations. La Fiesta can gain visibility in the community by being more involved with the school district and expanding into social networking. Another focus of the plan is the efficiency of customer service and ease of congestion inside and outside of the restaurant. Better communication between wait staff and customers is also addressed. Since La Fiesta is a restaurant, it is considered a business-to-customer marketer. II. ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS Open since 1995, La Fiesta has made a strong presence in the town of Greenwood. It was established after another authentic Mexican restaurant...

Writing Papers in 3rd

...Converting Ideas to Third Person for College Level Writing by Professor Adri-anne Jones In most instances, college freshmen enter college knowing how to write their ideas in first person, I and second person, you but have had little if any experience with third person writing. Therefore, many first-year college students are not prepared to write the typical academic essay and research paper. For the most part, the purpose of writing in the academic environment is to inform, to report, and to persuade. Therefore, the writing style is expected to be formal since students will be engaged in writing research papers, essays, book reports, critiques, proposals, and responses to literary writings. In these formal and academic writing situations—in most cases—the focus is on the subject and not the writer. Therefore, it is crucial that college freshmen learn to master third person writing before they complete their course requirements for freshman composition. Even though argument and persuasive writing is based on the writer’s personal opinion or position on an issue, the writer’s opinion is most often presented in third person. Rather than to write I think . . . or I believe . . . or I feel . . ., the writer should simply state his or her opinion without making a first person reference. For example, the academic writer should avoid such statements like I feel that the restoration of prayer in public schools could likely remedy the lack of discipline in classrooms...

Obamacare Is Driving the Wedge Even Deeper Between Socio-Economic Classes.

...Driving a Wedge Between the Socio-Economic Classes. Question at Issue: Will the Affordable Care Act exaggerate the difference between socio-economic classes? Argument Sentence: The Affordable Care Act is exaggerating the difference between socio-economic classes because the ACA encourages employers to cut employee hours. Premise: Any law that encourages employers to cut employee hours will exaggerate the difference between socio-economic classes. The majority of college students hold jobs while studying so that they can pay rent and phone bills, and occasionally go to the movies or out to dinner. We get the money for these bills and activities through bi-weekly paychecks. We work hard, usually for thirty to forty hours a week, and are compensated near minimum wage. Although miniscule, it is still enough to cover the daily expenses in our lives and to have a bit left over for extraneous items. Corporate employers, big business for example, are often the ones who disburse paychecks to people attending college. They offer entry-level jobs that are easy to come by, are continuously expanding, and have a high turnover rate. Large corporations, such as Regal Entertainment Group, Five Guys Burgers, and PetSmart, are cutting employee’s hours down to less than thirty a week. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) mandates employers to provide health insurance to employees working full-time (thirty-plus hours weekly). By cutting the hours, people are no longer are entitled to health insurance...

...registering a business as a sole proprietorship. In the state of Tennessee, sole proprietorship in Bedford County appears as an unincorporated business that operates with a single owner. Under the Tennessee state law, sole proprietors have unlimited liability for business debts and obligations. A sole proprietor in the state of Tennessee does not need to file any documents with the state as a condition of formation. In Bedford County, a sole proprietorship formation occurs when an individual makes a business transaction. There is plenty of information that must be provided about the business and its owners when applying for a sole proprietorship. There are also many steps that lead up to the simple registration for a sole proprietorship in your county or as we are stating, Bedford County in Tennessee. The first step that needs to take place when undergoing this option is that the person needs to apply for a business license. According to the Chamber of Commerce, a sole proprietor needs only to obtain business license from the county in which the business operates which would be Bedford County. A sole proprietorship in the state of Tennessee has no existence without the owner, therefore a business license must be provided when the person goes to register for the one owner business. Filing an assumed business name is the next step to the process. Sole proprietors in this county wish to operate under a name other than their personal...
