Dedication
This is Research is dedicated to our hard working parents that continuously supports us. We also dedicate this research to one of the researchers’ siblings Miguel (12 years old) and Gabriel (8 years old), the motivation and inspiration of this research paper.

Chapter I: The problem and it’s Setting
Introduction
This research started as an observation to a sibling of one of the researchers. The 8 year old and the twelve year old kids were greatly fond of the website www.youtube.com. The researcher observed that her siblings mimic the language and the actions of the videos they are watching. When the researcher asked the siblings as to where do they get those “lines” from, the siblings’ replied immediately “napanuood ko sa You Tube”. This lead to the group’s concern. How the website youtube.com do great influences to the new generation of children today. Let’s face it, the youth’s way of entertainment nowadays are not just all about playing Barbie dolls, riding a bike and playing different street games but, sitting in front of the desktop/laptop while chatting in social networking sites, listening to different kinds of music and watching videos in different websites, specifically, Youtube.
You Tube was founded by three former PayPal employees, who, witnessing the boom of online grassroots video, realized the need for a decent service that made the process of uploading, watching and sharing videos hassle-free. They registered the domain YouTube.com on February 15th, 2005 and developed the site over the following months from a garage in Menlo Park. In May 2005 they launched in a public beta, and in November, YouTube made its debut with an $3.5 million of funding from Sequoia Capital.
If you need to listen or watch something almost all of the internet users would most likely type in the address bar, www.youtube.com. So as to say, it is a popular video search engine for most of us; adults, teenagers and even the kids. Approximately, Youtube has 80,000,000 videos uploaded and still counting. The videos uploaded have different variations and different effects to the viewers. Though, the system of viewing depends on the age of the viewer and the effects would also depend on what type of videos were exposed to a certain viewer.

Statement of the Problem
The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of You Tube to the younger generation (8 – 12 years old). And also, to answer these questions:

How long are the young generation exposed to this website, You Tube?
What kinds of videos they watch in You Tube?
What are their reasons for coming back to You Tube?
What are the things they learn from You Tube
Scope and Delimitation
This study will focus on how young generations are being affected by the improving technology in our country specifically the website YouTube. This paper aims to give information about the advantages and disadvantages that the website can give to the young generations nowadays, and lastly what are the factors that they get in using this website.
Due to a short span of time having this study, this paper will no longer tackle about the different websites that the World Wide Web can offer, and what are their effects and the benefits they can give to their users in exchange of entertaining their websites.

Significance of the study
This study is important to the following:
Children having the age of 8-12 years old
This paper is important for them because this will help them to be aware of what are the things they can get by using this website, what are the advantages and disadvantages they can get from it.
Parents
This paper is also important for the parents. For them to also be introduced to our technology nowadays, and how it does affect the younger generations, and also to have ideas on how should they control their children from using it.
Future Researchers This paper can serve as a guide for the future researchers who would like to study the same topic that we had and also it serves as an encouragement for them to give attention to the current issues that our young generations are facing in terms of the latest technology.

Chapter II: METHODOLOGY
Sampling Design The researchers carried out the research and information gathering by the use of Survey forms and Interviews. The researchers found out that the most affected population of our selected topic for the study are the “Youth ages 8 – 12 yrs of age” to be more specific these are the youth residing inside of Dasmarinas Cavite”. These are the youth who are most likely “addicted” to the influence of the internet / web contents, specifically “YouTube” one of the most popular web contents in the history. To close in the gap, the researchers narrowed down to the sample data (“Youth, ages 8-12 yrs of age, residing in of Dasmarinas Cavite”) through the use of careful Observations, door to door basis (shop-to-shop) and came out with the assumption that most of the computer shop goers (internet café patrons) are between these ages. They are most likely to be the ones who are more vulnerable to both the advantages and the disadvantages of the web content and any other information that they may acquire through the use of YouTube due to hours of exposure to the mentioned web content. The researchers managed to get the sample space of twenty-five respondents through stratified sampling, since there are four members in the group and to make the work distribution fair for each of the group members.
Instrumentation
As one of the requirements of the study, the group must conduct a survey as part of the information gathering, the gathered data may be first hand (straight from the source) or secondary (indirect but related to the source). To be able to acquire most accurate information from the chosen respondents the researchers decided to apply / use both “the questionnaire method” and the “informal interview method” since our respondents are of young age and may not have an idea what the survey is all about. To be able to have a fair working part for the researchers decided to split the data gathering into five scattered surveys (25 respondents per group mate / researcher) since we are living in different communities within Cavite, thus widening the scope of our survey. However some of the direct answers coming from the actual respondents may not represent each of the answers in the questionnaire but the verbal outputs are still reliable because of the informal interview. The informal interview aims to ask lighter questions but with the same context regarding to the questionnaire. We also had a bigger idea about the study by asking the internet café owner’s about their shops’ daily patrons are these respondents that we interviewed, some of them gave some comments about our respondents which also added some information of the study. Furthermore the methods that we used for gathering first had information is usable and workable for this kind of case study for we only have to get a clearer picture of what the situation is all about.

Data Gathering This research will be using the survey. The survey will be only ranging from the ages of 8 to 12 100 children living in Summerwind 4 Dasmarinas Cavite. This research used Survey for primary data collection and will be using Secondary Data from different books and articles from the internet, and others related Literatures that will support the study. This research will be using Direct or interview method to justify and strengthen the outputs and purpose of the study.

Analysis of Data It’s so observable, the children in internet shops at homes or at malls many of them are familiar with the website youtube and the site at its young airing at the web it’s has become popular and soon it’s going to be much famous than it is now. Children now are used to seeing new gadgets and are being educated early with technology to catch up with the time, but there are signs that children are loosing interest in the real life experience and prefers what they can see is more “cooler” on the web, particularly the youtube videos. The social learning theory of communication can be applied to this research accourding to Albert Bandura “this specifies that mass-media messages give audience members an opportunity to identify with attractive characters that demonstrate behavior, engage emotions, and allow mental rehearsal and modeling of new behavior. The behavior of models in the mass media also offers vicarious reinforcement to motivate audience members' adoption of the behavior.” The young generation may copy the chosen videos of their interest due to artistic and graphical effects as seen on the videos. As the mind never stops learning the younger generation are showing different actions that are not part of their culture and ethics. Through the research this may help the younger generation to preserve the culture and morals that the past generations had, the parents might save their children from videos in youtube that needs to be viewed with provision and guidance from them.
Chapter III: Presentation, Analysis and interpretation of Data Based on the results of the conducted survey, the researchers found out that having the age of 8-12 years old. They are already aware of how the modern world affects them. Majority of the respondents answered yes in the question Do you use internet and also many of them answered that they know the site youtube, but still there are some respondents who still didn’t know what youtube is. Having young respondents, there’s no doubt that most of them answered that they visit youtube sometimes and they are not allotting a huge part of their time browsing this website.
Regarding wth the kind of videos that the respondents are watching, Music got the highest percentage of the most watched videos, but on the other hand the times that they are watching and listening to music videos is rarely expected.

Chapter IV: Summary and Recommendation
Summary
A researcher have been watching and observing her siblings all day as they turn on the computer and uses the internet. During the observation process she found out that her siblings are fond of watching videos on a website called YouTube and as they are watching videos on YouTube they seem to mimic the actions of the individuals that are doing their thing on the videos. This leads the group to pursue a study about how YouTube affects the younger generation’s minds and personality. The group then started to concentrate on studying the YouTube how it started from its roots to what it has become now as one of the most used and anticipated website of all time. YouTube was founded by three former PayPal employees, who, witnessing the boom of online grassroots video, realized the need for a decent service that made the process of uploading, watching and sharing videos hassle-free. They registered the domain YouTube.com on February 15th, 2005 and developed the site over the following months from a garage in Menlo Park. In May 2005 they launched in a public beta, and in November, YouTube made its debut with an $3.5 million of funding from Sequoia Capital. Since then 80 million videos are uploaded and still counting, YouTube videos are absolute pure entertainment and educational, but it also contains videos that are to be considered as “adult-oriented” another thing that the researchers must be aware of since their target samples are the youth. Since the starting age where the younger individuals are tend to quick-learn is around 8-12 years old the group can assume that their targeted samples are around those age too since the internet has been around for a while and numbers of people are already becoming familiar of the internet. The group carried out their research by surveying the youth population of “Summerwind 4 Dasmarinas Cavite” the group got 30 samples to be exact and conducted informal interviews to the local internet café owners. The researchers found out that most of the café patrons are in the ages of our samples. The survey questionnaires are comprised by the following questions: How long are the young generation exposed to this website, You Tube? What kinds of videos they watch in You Tube?, What are their reasons for coming back to You Tube? What are the things they learn from You Tube? (See tabulation results) Furthermore, with the results of the survey, information, materials and references the results can be interpreted that YouTube is very influential among the youth. YouTube has somehow became part of their routinely activities and most of their time are spent using the internet. They use YouTube in the following manner: Listening to music, searching for lyrics of mtv’s and sometimes watching part by part random videos made by YouTube users themselves.

Recommendations
Technology has played a very important role through the advancement to our civilization, in fact technology is becoming the measure of time and how things are to be looked upon. YouTube played an important part in advancing the information, visual and audio technology because its primary tool for spreading such information is the World Wide Web and such information could travel all across the globe in just a nick of time and can be accessed quickly and infinitely.
Definitely YouTube is also a part of the entertainment industry for its main feature is to expose and spread contents coming from the different aspects of the society in video and audio form. However it also plays a role in influencing and persuading people, in fact through hours of exposure to videos and sounds can lead to rapid persuasion. The young generation is the most vulnerable target when it comes to persuasion and change of mentality for they are curious and can be easily persuaded. Therefore as the researchers that pursues this study we would like to recommend some important things that should be applied to avoid the negative effects of Web contents specifically YouTube.
A.To the parents, we would like to stress out the fact that children are most likely to be affected by the web contents through the manner of persuasion and can possibly lead to addiction of web contents. To avoid this, we therefore, recommend supervising their children whenever they are using the computer, this will enhance the level of censorship and proper education. Through enhancing censorship the young viewers won’t be able to view contents that are not yet appropriate for them. Although YouTube already came up with their account creation policy that only 18 yrs old and above can specifically view almost any contents including the adult oriented contents, some users managed to insert mild adult oriented contents that can be viewed without account and birth verification.
For example: Music videos, some of the music videos uploaded on YouTube are containing mild nudity-oriented visuals which cannot be blocked because they are certified by the official artists and recording companies that it is a part of the creative execution of the video. YouTube however has some policies that could affect their uploading schemes, but they cannot permanently delete content unless it extremely violates the user creation agreement.
Thus, by supervising, the parents can identify these mild adult contents and can refrain their children from viewing that video, this is the very crucial part however, and they should manage to prohibit their children in a manner that their children could realize that the video they are trying to view is not meant for them in the friendliest manner possible.
Being a parent, as a role includes the proper guidance of their children through proper explanation of things that are occurring, it can minimize the level of confusion and curiosity. This study however understands the very hectic lifestyle we are living nowadays, but spending some time with their children is still the best and the most effective way to avoid the negative elements of the society we are living. Besides, proper exercise and other culminating activities are still the best routine instead of watching TV or using the internet.
B. To the local and international censorship board, this study recognizes the very factors of creative executions on videos and music, however the results of our research data are kind of alerting. We understand that this matter cannot be avoided permanently, but we are still encouraging the local and international censorship boards to hardly exert more effort in doing their jobs.
C. To the matured (18yrs – older) users and companies, who are uploading videos on YouTube, it is very important to understand and abide with the account creation contract of YouTube. This research study recognizes the fact that any YouTube account holder can post any video and music they wish, but bear in mind that not all viewers and users of YouTube are of the young age.
This study also gives recognition appreciation to the active participation of some YouTube related organizations and users that are taking part to the user controlled censorship of YouTube (using the “Flag” option to the videos that can be considered as inappropriate).
D. To the future researchers who would like to pursue the same study, this study may serve as a reference for their research paper and data gathering, however this paper is accomplished in a very limited time. This is not an absolute paper and still has some more room for improvements but still, it contains a handful of information that can be used and shared for any field of study.
As of our responsibility as researchers these are the only recommendations we came up through the use of our data gathering and information analysis, the group is considering a lot of factors that could take part in the growth of the research.

Conclusion
Although this study is accomplished in a very small time frame, the group is rest assured that the resources; information, materials and analysis involved are maximized in the most effective manner as possible. The group is open for more improvements for the study. The Researchers conclude from the results of the research and survey that they’ve conducted inside the Summerwind IV Village Dasmarinas that majority of the children between the ages of 8-12 years old are aware of the website youtube and most of these children are watching music videos mainly for passing the time and second it’s fun. The children learn to memorize the lyrics of the song in a music video next that they learn nothing.
Based from observation the researchers also conclude that the children who are watching videos from youtube are visiting the website just for an hour.

Third, UnME will have its virtual retail store to announce any products when new jeans are release in the real world. Also, the platform allows users to design the jeans for their avatar, which they could then share with other avatars. I believe Zwinktopia is a good platform that would better convey the message that Foley wants sends to the target customers. In addition, Zwinktopia’s marketing plan is the most economical one among all social medias. Zwinktopia has cheaper one-time charge fee, and the cost of using Zwinktopia is $100,000 annually while $150,000 for Facebook quarterly, and $300,000 for YouTube plus CPM of $40. In sum, adopting Zwinktopia would directly reach out UnMe’s target teenage and deliver UnME’s concept. Also, using Zwinktopia has lowest financial risk compare to Facebook and YouTube. 2) The benefits of advertising with Zwinktopia are three-fold. First, launching the virtual UnME jeans retail store on Zwinktopia would inform the users about new products in real world and stimulate in real-world purchasing. Effect of Computer Usage to the Academic Performance of the Selected Senior Students

...INTRODUCTION Video games have come a long way since today's adults sat down at a computer to play Pong or Donkey Kong. The newest-generation gaming consoles are as powerful as personal computers, and can accomplish many of the same things. And today's games are increasingly realistic and technologically advanced. Social networking has even made its way into the video game industry with online gaming. These virtual worlds can be complicated and perplexing to parents, which is why it's important for you to understand what your child is playing and when to get worried. Did You Know? * In 2009, over 11 million people played World of Warcraft, an online, subscription fee-based multiplayer game. * According to one study, nearly 1 in 10 young gamers displayed behavior patterns similar to addiction.1 * The Kaiser Family Foundation found that 8- to 18-year-olds are exposed to an average of 10 hours and 45 minutes of media each day. Whether your child is an avid gamer or rarely picks up a controller, it's important to understand the world of video games--especially in the age of online gaming--so you can make your child's experience with games both a positive and a beneficial one. ————— 1. An Analysis of Coral’s Susceptibility to Bleaching Based on the Symbiotic Relationship with Their Zooxanthellae, Using Dna Sequencing Techniques

...An Analysis of Coral’s Susceptibility to Bleaching based on the Symbiotic Relationship with their Zooxanthellae, Using DNA Sequencing Techniques http://www.wiki-reef.com/CoralSpecimen.aspx?cid=28 Elizabeth Velazquez Fall Quarter 2011 Luisa Marcelino, Timothy Swain Northwestern University, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium Abstract Coral samples were obtained from Shedd Aquarium to investigate the symbiotic relationship between the corals and their zooxanthellae under environmental stress. The zooxanthellae DNA were extracted, amplified, and sequenced. The sequences were then analyzed using Sequencher 5.0 and BioEdit where they were aligned individually and then against other sequences found in previous literature research. The aligned sequences were run in Genbank using the BLAST function to identify the zooxanthellae at the subclade level. Further research into current literature was done with the best matched subclades to our sequences to further investigate the thermal resilience of the zooxanthellae. It was found that thylakoid membrane lipid compositions as well as lipid energy reserves are correlated to bleaching susceptibility. Clade D symbionts have higher lipid energy reserves, allotting for more thermal resilience in comparison to clade C as well as increased abundances in D symbiont types among reefs after bleaching events. Bleaching susceptibility was also found to have variation within clades. More research is needed to fully understand the coral-zooxanthellae...
