...How Electronics Will Fit Into My Professional Life How will electronics fit into my professional life? As I move on after college into my professional career I will be using electronics daily. Even before I move into my professional career everyone including myself will be using electronics. Electronics are used by everyone on a daily basis. Programming with python is a little more difficult than programming with scratch. They both differ in the way the code is written. Python can be easy to pick up whether you're a first time programmer or you're experienced with other language. So whether you’re a beginner or expert python can be used by anyone regardless of experience in coding languages. Python you physically have to write the code out to make it work. The python coding language can be used for quite a bit such as web and internet development, database access, desktop GUIs, scientific and numeric, education, network programming and software and game development. With Scratch you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Unlike python scratch uses a drag and drop coding system. All the pieces in scratch fit together like a puzzle. In python you must physically write out the code and if one little part is wrong nothing will work at all. One thing you can do with both scratch and python is to create a game such as pong or classic breakout....

...Forget about electronic products With the continuous development of science and technology, human life seems to be inseparable from the electronic products. Nowadays, almost everyone use electronic products in their life and work. More and more people become addicted to electronic products. Especially younger people like us, we almost use our phone and computer everyday. Although electronic products brought convenience to our life, but it’s negative impact has become more and more serious, our life and work have completely affected by it, we could not allow it to continue. As I found there are many bad but very common phenomenon caused by electronic products around most of us. At first, Electronic products have made the real communication between people become less and less. We can often see such a scene: a whole family or a group of friends having dinner together on one table, but everyone is playing with their smartphone, computer, or I-pad, people have not much communication with each other. Even many people stay together or living together, but they chat with each other through text. I also see a lot of this situation in many of my classes. For example, every time I come in to a classroom, there usually have two-thirds of people plays their phone and computers to spend the time before class begin, only few of people talk with neighbors. Why do we sit together without any communication? It is a really serious problem. The more we focus on electronic products and the more...

...Walmart’s Sustainability Strategy Case Study Question 1: “How is the company deriving value from its sustainability practices?” Walmart has been deriving value from its sustainability strategy through multiple factors. First of all, Walmart was able to create value by introducing new revenue streams from sustainable projects. For example the recycling initiative would create revenue stream that would otherwise not have been realized. Walmart has also created value by creating transparency within its own supply chain. By being directly involved with its suppliers, it was able to manage its supply chain. Walmart’s goal via its networks was to influence stakeholders, primarily its suppliers, to initiate sustainable practices that would be in line with Walmart’s values. By doing so, Walmart has to monitor every supply chain participants, and by doing so, they were able to eliminate redundant channels in the process. For example, instead of having a product manufactured and assembled in two different countries, Walmart was able to eliminate unnecessary channels by understanding the process, and thus creating a more efficient supply chain that is both innovative and cost effective. Another thing that they did was their overall cost reduction in the value chain processes. It was able to reduce inefficiencies in packaging, transportation, and waste, among other factors. ...Green technology has recently become a large part of the electronic community, as they have the ability to become benefit the community in regards to being environmentally friendly. Green technology includes all the equipment and methods which complement our environment through reducing pollution and increasing the amount of sustainable technology in our day to day life. As an aspiring electronic technician, I myself have several roles and responsibilities to social issue of green technology. Within the workplace, one of my roles includes to promote efficient electronic devices as well as installing environmentally efficient ones as opposed to the cheaper but environment harming ones. Through this initiative I would be able to responsibly install, repair, and maintain electronic parts and machinery and equipment. In addition to promoting green technology, it is my responsibility to efficiently install and maintain them in the households of clients. I believe I should also be responsible to inform clients, friends and family of smart conservation of electricity within the house hold, as, “Two-thirds of residential electricity use in the United States comes from air conditioners, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other electric appliances” (Mark Mosko, 2012) Many individuals are not aware of the peak hours of electricity which occur exactly before and after the same hours as the rush hours on the roads; since people are arriving at home and at their workplace where they turn...

...Technology has without any doubt revolutionized in breath-taking paces virtually every aspect of life. However, there is a continued demand for innovation, to achieve greater efficiency spearheaded by the engineering industry. In my opinion no occupation offers as much as Engineering in any area of human development including ICT. The challenge of studying advanced mathematics and designing complex electrical and electronic components with myriad ways of application coupled with the logical and intellectual intangibles derivable over the course of my proposed study excites me I had the opportunity to shadow the head mechanic at Colliers Honda dealership during my ... and I was amazed at how much their work was entwined in electronics. Electronic systems were used to instantly diagnose faults within cars that could otherwise take hours. The hybrid cars particularly attracted my interest and I was enthused by how the introduction of an electric motor improved the performance of a car and simultaneously made it more environmentally friendly. Alhough I have flairs for Literature and Philosophy, Mathematics and the Sciences have always been my forte over my school career I have been received 2 silver awards for the UKMT mathematics challenge. I assumed the role of a mentor at my College helping AS maths students with difficulties encountered within their course. The course of studying A-Level Mathematics and Physics allowed me to amass valuable skills of critical thinking and problem...

...Effective Communication Lynnette Johnson HCS/325 October 4, 2010 Rosemary Thuet Effective Communication In this paper I will be discussing effective ways to communicate and what types of communication is effective and what communication can be ineffective. Electronic communication is an effective way to share information and ideas. The conversation or the information can be shared with a wide range of people all over the world. Information can be sent to a computer then the information can be saved on a disk or on your hard disk so that you will be able to access the information either now or years from now. Electronic communication can become ineffective when the security becomes breached. There are people who hacks computer systems for a living which can mess up your computer. The hackers can put a viruse in your email and when you open it your files and computer becomes infected. Different types of viruses can be hard to catch. Electronic communication can also be ineffective when it comes to email privacy. Emails is data that travels through several different routers before the receiver, receives it. This makes it easy for someone to mess with the email while in route to the receiver. When an email is being sent and it is traveling through several different routers the email can become lost when one router is overloaded with data it can take a while before you can get your messages. Video conferencing is another effective way to share information...

Sub: Electronics Engineering Management - Counterfeit Electronics components Abstract Counterfeiting has a long and despicable history, ranging from art and literature to manufactured goods. Unlike other industries, counterfeiting in the aerospace industry may have life or death Consequences. We take the problem seriously. Thus, all stakeholders from industry and government must work together to effectively reduce the introduction of counterfeit parts into the aerospace supply chain and minimize their impact. The introduction of counterfeit parts whether they are electronic, mechanical or other adversely affects government, industry, consumers which includes National security or civilian safety issues and costs of enforcement. Counterfeit parts are an escalating global supply chain challenge where a single occurrence represents widespread risk to product cost and quality, human safety, and national security. Aerospace and defense products are targets for counterfeiters because the systems are intended for use over extended time, leaving them vulnerable to obsolescence of parts, materials, subsystems and technologies. As the time of system use increases, a substantial number of the...

...to museums and musical performances more often, and perform volunteer and charity. This is compared to non-readers, who have little to no active engagement with the community. The author declares that electronic media can be dangerous for nonreaders because most people use television or other electronics as a means of relaxing, consequently absorbing all of the good and bad information. However, readers were able to filter the information more effectively while watching television. Solomon claims that people who read do not feel alone because they see a book as a friend, while people who do not read and spend their days with electronics devices tend to feel depressed. Reading is a mentally active experience and helps us learn. It can also help us stay guarded from future mental illnesses like Alzheimer’s. If we are not active and do not exercise our minds, we have a higher chance of developing Alzheimers. The Nazis feared the power of reading many forms of literature, taking measures to burn books because the material within was viewed as being subversive, or representative of ideologies in opposition to Nazism. Today, reading allows Americans to be better informed on issues within our own country, giving us the opportunity to have our own thoughts and opinions on life in society and politics. If we do not read on these topics, it is more difficult to form individual opinions on them. The United States is one of the most literate societies, but most of the population...

...FIELD REPORT: Observing Electronic Devices Usage in Class and Discussing Whether College Teachers Should Allow Students Use Laptops In Class By Bingqian Zhou Reporting Period: Autumn 2012, October 9–16 Abstract As technology become more advanced and widespread, people are able to purchase various personal electronic devices at a lower cost. It also leads to the trend that more and more students bring their personal electronic devices to class. I observed the use of electronic devices in three different courses, and I also interviewed two instructors with unique teaching styles and asked them their opinions about whether should allow their students use laptops during lectures. The reason I did this report is that I have seen many students bring their laptops to class for different purposes, and also realized that college teachers have different policies on the use of personal electronic devices. I observed student’s behavior in several classes, 70% of the students brought electronic devices to class, which only 20% of them actually used them for class related work. I also interviewed two instructors about their attitude of using laptops during class. One of them believed that it was helpful and convenient for students take notes on the computer and follow up with course materials. The other teacher argued that it was distractive to others if some students use their laptops to do non-class activities and was also disrespectful to the instructor. The conclusion of this report...

...Student’s Name Professor’s Name Course Date Impacts of social media Does emergent social technology improve our lives or ultimate bring complications? To understand the impact of social technology or social network for that matter, it is important to define what social media is. Social media is a platform that is used to connect people and interact with other individuals having similar interests to oneself through of applications or websites. Social networking can be viewed from different aspects depending on one's opinion. Impacts brought by social networking can both be negative and positive, and this trickles down to the intentions of setting up that particular network of interaction. It will, therefore, be unjust for me to say that social media has improved or brought complications in our lives. This paper would like to review different research outcomes and opinions from both sides of the divide. My opinion is that society has gained a lot and yet to gain even more from social media. Social media has given a platform to communicate effectively to many across the world, use of the social network as means to share reading materials has helped in reducing illiteracy and improve human enlightenment. The most important part of society is how members of the society relate. How children relate to their parents and their peers after interaction with the social network is prone to change. Through social network, they are re-establish old contacts, meeting new people...
