When the player has acquired enough experience points, they are given the option to level their character up. Levelling a character gives the player skill points that they can spend on their characters unique abilities. Abilities and benefits are organized in three columns and organized into a hierarchy, meaning the user must level up the first ability in order to gain access to the second. Fast traveling allows the player to get from one location to another instantly without having to physically walk there. Fast travel terminals only display locations that the player has previously visited and activated.
Claptrap is an irritating robot that leads the player through the tutorial. Claptrap is eventually useful to the player as it helps bring them to important mission spots as well as provide missions to the player. Clap trap is a NPC character that does not aid in battle at all.
Angel is a Siren with A.I powers. She is known as the ‘Gaurdian Angel’ to the vault hunters and provides them with information regarding Handsome Jacks plans and whereabouts. Angel is able to hack into computers and unlock doors for the player. She is a vital aspect of the players game and story line.
Handsome Jack is the main antagonist of Borderlands 2. He controls the Hyperion corperation and is the self declared dictator of Pandora. Jack uses the vault hunters to find the hidden vault so he doesn’t have to.
