Book Report Format

...BOOK REPORT FORMAT Steps in Making an Investigatory Project 1. Select a Topic.  The first step in making an investigatory project is selecting a topic to research on. If you are making an investigatory project in Chemistry, you may select the topic about a new substance in making soaps. | Using fruits as batteries - an example of an investigatory project. Photo by Flickr user hans. | After selecting the topic, narrow down your research into something that you are interested in. For example, you might be interested in using different plants in making soaps. Papaya has been proven to make skin look younger. Find something that interests you. 2. Make a Research Question and Title Now that you have your topic, you should now create your Research Question. Your research question is something that you want to test. Something that intrigues you and you want to find out the correct answer. A sample research question might be, "Can I make an antibacterial soap using guava leaves?". If this is your question, then the title for your Investigatory Project is Using Guava Leaves in Making an Antibacterial Soap. Explore other questions that also interest you. Remember that you must make a scientific inquiry. That means the question or topic can be answered objectively and not through opinions only. 3. Design the Experiments and Procedures Now that you want to find out if guava leaves can be made into an antibacterial soap, you have to design experiments so that...

Science Investigatory Project

...AN ACTION RESEARCH FOR S.Y. 2005-2006 Area : Enhancing Students Performance in Research Through the Use of Science Investigatory Project Problem : What is the effect of using the science investigatory project on the performance of the students in Research? I. Problem Situation The advent of new and up-to-date curriculum has brought into focus the need to match the new science programs with the appropriate teaching method. As applied to classroom teaching, method has something to do with the way a teacher communicates the subject to the students. The strategy should include regular steps to guide the mental processes of the learners in mastering the subject being presented to them. The Science Investigatory Project (SIP) is an undertaking for science students which need an application of certain scientific principles and ideas. One of its aims is to develop one’s capacity in order to actively and effectively participate in the solution of problems being faced by the community through the application of rational and creative thinking process in search for the solution of the problem. For four years of teaching Research I in Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School, the researcher observed that the students are not aware of the important contribution of the research to man’s life. They tend to ignore it as a subject, which is manifested by their negative attitude towards it and low performance in the Research subject. Students...

Submitted to: MS.CHRISTINE DIAZ Physics Teacher / IR / IP Adviser 06 January 2014 Monday CHAPTER I – Preliminaries Abstract The purpose of this project is to determine the types of generator there are two parts of generator its either mechanical or electrical terms. Multiple generators provide power for expensive change over device. in some event that a utility powers supply fails or loss it automatically places . the generators in an emergency power mode. Generator are useful in application such as mini hydro power plants, wind turbines or in reducing high pressure gas streams to lower pressure reducing high pressure gas because they can recover energy with simple controls. The purpose of this investigation is to determine how to operate a generator and to provide the practical tools needed to model an implement new technique for generating energy through isolated or grid connected system and to demonstrate it. T plan to make a sample of a multiple generator out of the 10 materials given to me. At first I prepared a square wooden boards put the old cd then apply glue after that put the strong magnet in 90% and...

Investigatory Project

...Abstract The researchers’ experiment aimed to determine what material would stay and remain the same with the most heat after being heated and cooled. In this way, one could see how climate in different countries and places are being affected with the materials around them. In this experiment, the materials that were used were water, salt, oil, 2 thermometers, containers, lamp/flashlight and a stopwatch. All these materials were arranged in a way that light from the lamp could be directly reach the 2 containers; this point was where the temperature of each was being recorded with the time allotted. In order to come up with a good result, the temperature was being checked after every five minutes and placed into data. The procedure was done three times for every material for the three trials. After testing, the oil absorbed a lot of heat, the water absorbed a little heat but kept it in while the soil did not absorbed much heat but when after, it was released easily. This experiment was to show how heat was being absorbed and released by different materials around. In this manner, one could associate it with the climate; how the materials surrounding the place can affect the climate and the specific materials that would greatly affect the climate in one place. CHAPTER 1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE Introduction Climate change is a lasting and significant change in the distribution of weather patterns over a period of time that may be ranging from decades to even millions...

Using Natural Dyes from Plants in Producing Colored Paste

...Using Natural Dyes from Plants In Producing Colored paste Abstract: Paste is a type of glue made from starch or dextrin, a starch product. This investigatory project shows that we can produce our own colored paste without spending much time and money and by performing simple steps. That’s why this Science Investigatory Project can help students save their money instead of spending it in buying expensive and commercialized colored glue. In addition, this colored paste can be an additional source of income. It’s not just affordable, it’s also safe and non-toxic because the ingredients used are starch, water, natural dyes from plants and alum. Alum is used as preservative to prolong the shelf-life of the paste. Natural dyes from plants like Annatto seeds, mayana and turmeric were tested as coloring for this paste. We can also used other coloring from plants by researching and do further study to improve the quality of this colored paste. Introduction: Background of the Study: Nowadays our country has big problem about our economy. Everyone to solve it, but what do you think are the possible ways to prevent his crisis? I suggest that being practical is one of the solution to this problem. As students, we can be practical by using our heads instead of wasting our money. This project do not need much time and money because we can make our own colored paste within a short period of time. The basic ingredients are water, alum, natural dye from plants and cassava starch. Starch...

...simpler topic. Abstract Our investigatory project focuses on which brand of corned beef would last longer. We had 2 different brands of a 150g of corned beef and a plastic container for each. The researcher washed both of the corned beef (by using the strainer) before placing it inside the container and sealed it with its lid. We’ve kept the variable in its container for two days. Within the span of two days, the Argentina corned beef spoiled first. Then on the second day, the Star corned beef has only started to spoil. And that’s where the researchers came up with the conclusion that the Argentina corned beef had less preservatives, causing it to spoil earlier.
