Exhilarating Sports The best sports for a cold, snowy winter day are the exhilarating sports of snow skiing and snowboarding. Racing down a gentle or steep slippery mountainside, preferably on a sunny day after a heavy snow, is exciting on skis or a board. Some of the best slopes are in the breath taking Colorado Mountains or California’s beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. Snowboarding and skiing are both fun and exciting hobbies to get involved with and it’s a great way to spend a weekend in the mountains. Regretfully, as with any challenging sport, there are also risk and dangers such as crashing into people or trees, or simply falling down and breaking a leg or an arm. Skiers and snowboarders need to be considerate of others while either speeding or falling their way down a mountainside. Lessons are strongly recommended, even if someone has already conquered them. With skiing, you have the basics that you need to learn. For example, staying upright is a good accomplishment to achieve. Keeping your balance is another step to include, but most importantly do not cross your skis when stopping, also known as snowplowing. Skiing and snowboarding have their differences and similarities to compare. There are few arguments with people on their own views towards which sport is better and worth your time.
