The four distinct levels of sources of conflict are facts or data, processes or methods, goals or purpose, and values or beliefs (Griffith & Dunham, 2015). Facts or data can cause conflict because there are differences in the information that the group members have. If some members believe one thing and the some believe another because the facts or data was not shared there can be conflict. This can also cause conflict when they have different understandings of the fact and data that they have. Process or methods can cause conflict when the group cannot agree on how something should be done. If the members all have their own interpretation of how to reach a goal and they all think their idea is the best idea, there can be arguments and
