An empathy map allows us to gain a deeper insight into Gregory Goodwin's life through the situation which he is is now. This includes looking at his thought and feelings, what he hears, sees, says and do. As well as looking at the pain he feels and what benefits come from the service we are providing. Gregory Goodwin thinks about the future and what it might bring for him this is accompanied by him thinking there is nothing practical for him to do without doing something wrong in the eyes of others. He feels disconnected with the world, not feeling relevant to his family. As well as having low energy, he also feels bored sitting which makes him frustrated and lonely.
Gregory constantly sees memories of his fast paced life and the experiences which have allowed him to be where he is today. However Gregory is in a stage of his life where he sees his family growing up and himself slowing down and deteriorating, his friends and his wife are starting to get a lot sicker and hospital visits are not an uncommon thing. As well as this he see changes being made in the world and is finding it hard to keep up with the world, not knowing how to use new technology, life just passes right by him. …show more content…
“ and ”You're too old”. This leaves Gregory wanting to find something he can be apart of and feeling like he can belong somewhere. There are things which Gregory says from people not believing he can do something. “I can’t do that”, “I can’t use this”, “how do i use this” and “back in my day we didn't have the internet”, are some of the common phrases which his family hears from him everyday. As well as him trying to use tools he finding he is believing what people say to him about not being able to do things and wants to try and have a go at something
