Facebook argument essay
I believe that Facebook has become a tracking site over time as it has changed in many ways. Instead of being solely a social site for the purposes of connecting with others, it seems like it's been created to know all of our information, our personal info, who our friends are, what our activities, hobbies, beliefs are etc. And now that I have had Facebook for a long time I’ve realized that it fools our teens into divulging all their very personal life details without any caution. I believe teenagers should be discouraged from using Facebook because it is addicting and unsafe. And that I can say based on personal experience as a teen.
The first reason why I believe Facebook is not safe is because of lack of privacy. After having Facebook for ten years, I have come to realize that it requires way too much personal information. Another reason that Facebook is not safe is because Facebook makes it incredibly difficult to truly delete your account. It’s one thing to make data public or even mislead users about doing so, but where I really draw the line is that, once you decide you've had enough, it's pretty tricky to really delete your account. They make no promises about deleting your data and every application you've used may keep it as well. On top of that, account deletion is incredibly (and intentionally) confusing. When you go to your account
