Foreshadowing In Alex's 'Foreshadow'

To start off, the author foreshadows that there is going to be a shooting at the school when Alex gets a flashback of then he got shot and he had the same feeling. In the text it says, “He felt a pain in his chest and realized that his old would was throbbing like some sort biological alarm clock that had just gone off.” This gave Alex that thoughts that something was going to happen. “Or warning him. The man on the roof. Suddenly Alex was back on Liverpool Street, stepping out of the offices of MI6 seconds before a sniper had opened fire with a bullet that had knocked him to the ground, almost killing him.” This is showing how Alex had a flashback of what happened previsly. The author shoes foreshadow of what is going to happen to Alex. To support this there is a shooting and when Alex gets this feeling, the reader knows that something is about to happen. …show more content…
The author shows that action is about to take place in the book, by showing what he needs to help him be successful. In the text it states, “Alex remembered the mirrored panels he had seen. That must be where the x-ray cameras were hidden.” This is one of the many gadgets used to foreshadow. Another one is, “I actually put the welcome mat in myself. Occasionally, though, it becomes an unwelcome mat, as he is about to find out.” “The two man partially disappeared in a cloud of white dust that sprayed from the lion’s mouth. Itchig power.
