...It is an obvious observation that different personalities within the workplace make a difference in the environment. We spend the majority of our waking hours with the people that we work with and the different personalities within the workplace can make it enjoyable or unbearable. The articles that I will discuss in the essay focus on the types of personalities and the cultural fit of those personalities in the workplace. The first article titled Why Personality Matters in the Workplace by Michael Woody focuses on the types of personalities and refers to them as the Big Five. The Big Five include Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion/Introversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. Openness to Experience describes personalities that are open to experiencing new things and are flexible on how they approach situations and new ideas. Conscientiousness are the personalities that are meticulous in the way they approach situations as well as work; people that are on the other end of this spectrum see the big picture and do not get lost in the details. Extraversion is someone that is social and enjoys being around others; introversion is just the opposite of extraversion and tends to work best alone and prefers to work alone or in a small group. Agreeableness easily interacts with others and are generally more trusting of others. Finally, Neuroticism tend are the types of personalities that tend to be negative and are more frequently stressed making them difficult...

...[pic] MANAGING PEOPLE CROSS-CULTURAL CHALLENGES IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS Word Count: 2170 Cross-cultural Challenges in International Business Management has been one of the key elements of companies in most cases. A major responsibility of managers at all levels is to encourage organization members to perform to the best of their abilities in ways that help the organization achieve its goals (George & Jones 2002). In order to do so, managers need to first have an understanding of their subordinates. The better managers perceive subordinates, the more they are capable to motivate them. In addition, it is the same situation for manager and customer relations. A manager cannot satisfy his customer unless he has a very good sense of perception. Globalization is a very popular term recently. In a way, this term represents the shortening of distances and disappearance of borders (Friedman 2007). Borders within Europe, at the present, are almost forgotten. As the regulations on FDI were loosened in China with her accession to World Trade Organisation (WTO) in 2001, the three continents America, Europe and Asia are much closer to each other than they have ever been. Multinational corporations (MNC) have spread all over the world. Collaboration with many companies independent of national borders became a must for MNCs to survive. Collaboration with companies all around the world cannot be managed without a multicultural workforce and cultural differences...

This paper will discuss the alternative of cloud computing and many of the other assets to automating the CPM cycle. We will discuss Bridon American Corporation’s (BAC’s) process of forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting prior to implementation and after implementation of Adaptive Planning. Keywords: forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, cloud computing The Future of Corporate Performance Management “Corporate Performance Management is a cycle that begins with budgeting and continues to comparison of actual performance against the plan” (Product Overview). “Reports and dashboards are used to analyze real-time data, and compare it to what was planned. Based on this analysis, the cycle begins again, with what-if analysis and re-forecasting” (Product Overview). “A truly integrated and automated cycle has tight collaboration among managers throughout the organization, as well as tight integration...

...Department Of ECE in affiliation to K L University K L University (KoneruLakshmaiah Education Foundation) Vaddeswaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. Email: dvratnam@kluniverity.in Abstract Ionospheric electron density variations are more predominant error sources in precise positioning with Global Positioning System (GPS) based navigation systems over low latitude regions such as India and Brazil. spatial and temporal variability is more in this region due to Equatorial Ionospheric Anomaly (EIA), Spread F and ionospheric scintillations etc. Short and long term ionospheric changes such as the solar cycle, the annual and semiannual variations of the ionosphere needs to be investigated for improving reliable communication and navigation systems. In this paper, EOF analysis is used to investigate the spatial and temporal distribution of ionospheric electron density. An empirical model is implemented based on coefficients and basis functions obtained from the EOF analysis. It is evident from the results that the coefficients of EOF basis functions well signify the solar activity, diurnal variations of electron density. Keywords: GPS, EOF, TEC and IRI model 1. Introduction: The EOF analysis is originally introduced into meteorology as a method for extracting 1938 Bhagyasree Nimmagadda et al the dominant modes of spatial variability in meteorological fields such as Sea Level Pressure (SLP), sea surface temperature (SST), etc (Randall, et al., 2003). This is extensively used to represent...
