Graydon Slusher Tribute Speech
Intro
I want you to close your eyes for a second and imagine how you would be if you never came out of your initial bubble when you entered high school. If you never took risks. You’re imagining yourself to be pretty lame right? Well that's where I would be if I never meet my friend Graydon Slusher. Today, I will be talking about how I met Graydon and how he has impacted my life.

How I met Graydon is a little lame, but that is who I was at the time.

Freshman year I joined the hobby club here in the school, and every Friday we would meet at the local comic book store. Usually, I would just hang out with the two or three people I went there with, but that day I decided to branch out. My friends had left and I was waiting for my ride. …show more content…
It is freshman year after all. I sat down where a couple of people were playing card games, and having fun, Graydon included, and I wanted to be apart of that.

I joined in on the conversation, and was shut down almost immediately and bombarded with questions like, “Who are you?” I was a bit overwhelmed and answered their questions and we continued to talk until I had to leave.

I started to go to the comic book shop regularly after that and made a whole new list of friends. Graydon, however, I could also talk to at school. We went from barely knowing each other to being good friends over the course of a couple months. That was a brand new experience for me as i never really branched out before.
