It's not just limited to newspapers either. It is an ever-growing problem in the journalism industry. Facts are being twisted for the sake of entertaining the reader, are being portrayed as blood-sucking leeches, and teenagers are seen as Red-Bull guzzling degenerates. So how are you going to change this? Many peoples' opinions of teenagers have been based on a select few shows such as Waterloo Road, Skins, and, more recently, Excluded. While many understand that these teens are in the minority many still believe that teens are like this. Fear-mongering news-channels do not help this; rather they serve a daily dose of gang crime and teenage stabbings, which only fuel a stubborn flame that is quickly growing out of control. Huh, coincidentally, Doomsday lies on the date of my high school graduation, also known as the day society ends. Why? Well, because my generation, 1990-2003, is the dependent generation. We are dependent on technology, of course, but also dependent on parents. My generation is addicted to technology. The multitude of devices now readily available explains the origin of our dependence. Even teachers now use technology as part of their curriculum. Considering this fact, an argument stating that students do not actually need their many devices is proven invalid. Students indeed require their phones to be successful in school. For example, in physics, my classmates and I used our phones to videotape an oscillating spring to gather data for a lab. Therefore, the vital incorporation of technology into education forces students to own phones and partially justifies the use of technology, but it does not rationalize the obsessive use of technology. In the summer of 2011 rioters in England drew the government’s attention to the fact that they felt neglected and overlooked in the society. In the commentary “Big Brother isn’t watching you” posted on The Guardian website, the English comedian, actor, musician and writer, Russell Brand explains the rioter’s motive for the 2011 UK riots. Russell Brand currently lives in Los Angeles but he still has a strong connection to his native country and therefore the riots in the UK have also become his problem. In the commentary he describes the situation seen from his point of view. Russell Brand uses an overload of sarcasm and irony to describe his position on the riots. He is very sarcastic about the way the 2011 UK riots have been handled and uses sarcasm to point out his dissatisfaction with the UK government. His attitude to the 2011 UK riots is that it is a common problem, which must be solved jointly. Qatar has imported a high amount of foreign workers to complete stadiums, hotels and infrastructure before the 2022 World Cup, which is being held in Qatar. A high number of these workers come from Nepal and India. The working conditions are criticized by both an investigation led by The Guardian and the Nepali embassy. According to The Guardian, the workers are working under so horrendous conditions that they lead to sickness and high number of deaths. Qatari unions have warned that, there could be more than 4000 deaths before 2022. The general secretary of The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) Sharan Burrow, states that the Qatari government are not reacting on this issue, and therefore it is unsolved. Even though only few of the deaths have conducted autopsies, he claims that there is no doubt that the workers are dying because of the conditions they work under. I believe that I will find a trend were woman will describe themselves physically a lot more than their personal interests and men will describe their interests. It starts out with two men talk one is Iago, and he seems to be jealous of one of his fellow Italian country men, Othello. Othello just got a military promotion that Iago felt he deserved or at least wanted. Recently Othello just secretly married a senator’s daughter, so the man and Iago are plotting on how to get him in trouble for this. It starts to make the reader wonder is Iago evil. It turns out throughout the rest of the story he makes everybody turn on their own friends and loved ones, to the point they kill each other, even convincing Othello to kill his new wife. So it makes me come to the conclusion Iago is most definitely evil, not only that he is knifing, and very persuasive. This is how evil he is, Othello gave his new wife this handkerchief, and it is supposed to be their handkerchief of love. Iago uses this sacred madrigal token, to turn Othello against his wife. By planting it in one of Othello’s friend’s quarters. Once Iago persuades Othello to go in the other mans quarters he sees it and becomes very angry, and jealous thinking the two have slept together. Iago convinces Othello he must kill his own wife for cheating on him. So eventually Othello does the deed and kills his own wife.
