Haudenosaunee Reflection Report

We have continued to expand students’ knowledge on the Haudenosaunee. Every student has created a wampum belt of their own. These belts are not worn, instead they are used as a guide to tell the Haudenosaunee history, traditions and laws. Students’ are at the early stages of sharing their belts and the story that comes along.

We are continuing to improve on our annotation and close reading habits. Student will soon learn more about exploring main ideas, text features and note-taking.

Homework for ELA will be to read for 30 minutes a day and input their reading into a Daily Reading Log. A parent or guardian signature is requested, indicating they have seen the student read. A weekly reflection will be due every Monday and collected. This
