Task 1.1
Welfare in relation to the child means ensuring the safety of a child e.g. to look after them at appropriate times, to prevent dangers and hazard that might occur. Protecting a child from harm is a part of the welfare. Making sure they don’t hurt themselves make it easier to protect them. To help the children get the best out of their life, parents need to help them develop so that they might be able to experience certain things that they might need for their future. And always try to keep them happy.

1.2 In regards to the Welfare of their child parents have the right to live with their children unless they can’t provide with their basic needs like food and clothes, they should also be able to protect them as well if the child is in danger. In that case when the parent/s aren’t able to provide this, a social worker may be needed to support them. Parents have to also discipline their children by teaching them certain things for example how to behave in public and how to treat other people nicely as well to let them know what is wrong and right. Parents should choose the right education for their child, decide if the school is the right one, if it meets the needs and if it’s appropriable for the child to feel comfortable. These are the main things parents should watch out while searching for the school. Children are getting easily ill, so the parents should agree for the child’s treatment if it’s necessary or not. If they don’t agree they should have a proper reason to not put the child’s life in a risk. When the mother gives birth to their child the Parents should have already agreed for a name to give their child. By the time the child is grown up, it can decide to change his/her name and the parents have to agree any changes that are made. Any Property of the child should be looked after by the parents to make sure it is safe. A mother automatically has parental responsibility rights for her child from birth that means if something happens to the child the mother will be blamed first.

1.3 There are different rights Parents have in regards to the upbringing of their child. Parents have to decide rules and regulations for their children. This means the parents should be able to tell children what they can and cannot do at home and outside of the home. The parents have to also decide how and where the child should be educated. The parents should maybe inform themselves to decide if it’s better for the child to attend a state or a private school. But there are different ways the child can be educated. Parents can teach their children or hire a teacher as well and send them to a state or a private school to continue their education. Parents also have the right to decide the culture and religion. However when the child is grown up it may decide his/her religion.

Task 2 2.1
Parental responsibilities means to be able to look after their children and to secure them safety. As well to provide a home for the child and to protect and maintain it. It also means to have a secure job to meet the child needs as good as possible and to be sure to provide basic needs for them. If the child has any problems parents should take their time and help them out by giving them an advice, support and to actually love them to make them fell accepted. It's important that children understand what your responsibilities are as their parent.

2.2 The parents have responsibilities for the child’s health. Make sure you take the child to doctor’s appointment to ensure the safety of the child and the general check-ups that is needed to keep the child healthy. When the child needs medicine, make sure you give the child the right amount in the right time and try to not forget it for example by setting an alarm. Try to keep the child in a balanced diet and do a lot of exercise with the child to keep it healthy as well to avoid obesity. It is important to make sure that the child is always properly dressed according to the weather condition. Every child needs plenty of sleep, parents have to make sure to make this able e.g. by taking them early to bed. For the Welfare parents have the responsibility to keep their children safe for example by removing hazards or dangerous liquids in the sight of children. Parents also have care for their children to make them feel better and accepted. As a parent you should always look after them and supervise them especially if they are young to prevent accidents and to lead them in the right way. Every child has the right to be educated. Parents have the responsibility to make sure their child goes to school. Children should also have the opportunity to learn at home to maybe prepare for their exam. Parents should keep in touch with the school and go to any meetings to know the welfare of the child and to always be up to date about the child’s result. It is important to buy the child’s school uniform so that the child might be able to attend school and to also pay for school lunches so the child may be able to eat there. The child should have all school equipment’s to not borrow it from anyone. The law also allows parents to bring up their children according to their own values and beliefs. This means that you have the right to make decisions about how you bring up your children.

3.1
What makes an appropriable environment for the child is to make sure he/she grows up in a safe and warm Home. Parents need to make sure the child’s environment isn’t cold or damp. This will help them to be happy and not to become ill. Parents also have to make sure that there is always someone responsible looking after them by making sure to pick the child from nursery to prevent for example kidnapping. A safe environment means also to have the right equipment at home for the child for example stair locks or gates, they need to make sure that dangerous items/liquids are locked away so that the child won’t reach it.

3.2 People looking after the children can support the physical development because the child might be able to do more activities while someone is watching them. Emotionally it makes them feel happy that someone cares for them and that they are safe to do more activities this links as well to the intellectual development. Socially it helps them because they are choosing their skills or activities from other people and the child may play as well with the person looking after him/her.
The right equipment in the house for example stair locks and gates can support the child’s development physically because the child will have the opportunity to walk around without crossing any hazards or an environment not suitable for the child. Socially it will help the child’s development because it may go to other rooms without any hazard to visit for example family members. Emotionally it will make the child feel better, because it could know that nothing could harm him/her.

The consequences if a child does not have a safe and secure environment can be that the child will not develop properly, because it may not experience and understand certain things for example how to be friendly. The might also feel neglected because there may be now one looking or caring for them. Children that are not brought up in a safe and secure environment are more likely to not develop the right life-skills to one day stand on their one feet.
